Re: Montagna

Don't forget he was up against Kane Cornes, who is still a avery effective stopper. Had Cornes gone to Dal, this thread would probably have a different title.

Re: Fair dinkum

Some of you are spoilt brats. Complaining about SD. 40 years ago, all we had was black and white television. There were no live games. Football replay was on Saturday night they would show the final quarter of two or three games. The others missed out. If you wanted live, you either went to the gam...

Yep, and only 1cm shorter than arguably the best full back ever, M. Scarlett.

All those teams have lost one game, as have we. So it'd be win by 17 goals OR hope they all lose, wouldn't it?

Re: Big Rhys

If he plays a couple of good games in the lead up to the season, I doubt they'll wait to see if he does it in the VFL before playing him in the seniors. Senior games should be harder to achieve than that IMO. Again, he has a long way to go. Apparently he's put in a huge pre-season and really impres...

Thought Stanley and Ledger looked good.

Rhys has bulked up and looks primed!

Our defence was pretty damn woeful though, early days however.

Re: McQualter in Suns Leadership Group

Yep. Was a prolific ball winner as a junior, be interesting to see how he goes if he gets a run in a weaker midfield unit. I wouldn't say their midfield is weaker. I think they will be playing finals this year and I also think Mini will be a premiership player in the next couple of years. It makes ...

Re: Kicking skills

Didnt one of the players say theyd done three times the amount of skill work than last pre season? Yeah mate that's what I'd heard, guess we'll have to wait and see for the results. Gilbert's the one I'm really interested in, think his poor kicking really affects his confidence, and he's a confiden...

I've heard we've been focusing on foot skills much more than in seasons past.

Can anyone who's been at training say they've seen any improvements in the kicking skills of Gilbert, Gram and co.?

Re: Riewoldt's output in 2012

I think like the team it is going to take Roo a few months to settle into the new game plan. Really when you think about it the full forward and full back postions are up for grabs and unless these positions settle down early in the season then we are in for a long hard season. And if that is the c...

Riewoldt's output in 2012

How do you think he'll perform in 2012? We've seen him run defenders into the ground over the years — is he still capable of this, or is his knee going to restrict him? Will the new coach and adjusted game-plan benefit him? If yes, how so? Interested to hear your views, as many seem to have written ...
