I'm very uncomfortable about this match as they have man-handled us so often before. We have not shown a real fight against this mob too many times. This will be the 1st real indicator of whether we really have improved if we beat them at AAMI. We have a lot of "scars" from old matches her...

Just bear in mind that St. George is now owned by WESTPAC/Bank of Melbourne so the parent company do have lots of banks in Melbourne.

The other factor in our favour this time around is that we now have our own two big ruckman to challenge Lade & Brogan. They have intimidated us too much in the past. They have also punished us more with their mid-sized players (e.g. Ebert) than Treadrea being much of a dominant factor. This wil...

Although our record against Port, especailly at AAMI, is bad we are lucky that we are not playing Brisbane at the Gabba because we are nearly as bad up there as well!

As per other thread DAL & Kosi got off but King was cited for one match but with discounts for his prior good record he remains eligible to play next weekend.

It was also very interesting to how much more demonstrative he has become. I've never seen him fight back so hard after getting hit late after disposing of the ball. He is usually a lot more mild mannered. I think he's had enough with "putting up with crap" from others. Let's just hope he ...

He played well. He is improving and he needs to continue to improve. He gave off a bad handpass that gifted a goal to the weagles but his kicks have depth and can deliver the ball well into the forward line. He remains a work in progress but he certainly deserves to be acknowleded for his improvement.

This spread is one reason that we can win without Roo playing a "blinder" and we need this to continue to become a threat. Sure we'd love it to happen every week, but that is unlikely. Our past weakness has been the dependence on too few goalkickers and we need the mid-field to continue to...

Successful marketing means improved income for the club and more $'s available to the Football Dept. We need to continue what Westaway has started with greater resources available to improve the team development.

I think the 2009 CJ has significantly improved on the prior year's models and it may take us all a while to re-adjust. I used flinch when he went to kick to a teamate, but he executed quite a few good passes yesterday and we may all need to re-assess him in the months ahead. He should have kicked th...

I just love the way he brushes off the opposition players off as he runs past them. Its a rugby "no nonsense" style. He is also a great tackler. He is only going to get stronger and more confident. His marking is growing in confidence. He has the speed for the smalls and height for the Tal...

I have been "warming" to RL on some aspects for a long time. I think his recriuting has been pretty good (not perfect) and he has been selecting the types of players we have been lacking. I was aware of GT deficiencies as well as his positives. I have in past few years been very disappoint...

Kosi isn't alone in missing a lot of "gettable" goals. Do we have any comparisons vs. other AFL teams? Since we don't get the ball into the forawrd line as much as we like it would really make a difference to our W/L ration if we could improve the overall team accuracy (DUH)! Who is our go...

What was so pleasing about Blake's great performance last night was his goal kicking. 3 set shots = 3 goals. That is remarkable for him, especially the manner in which he kicked them. He looked very positive, didn't look around to try and pass it off, but just slotted them through the middle. This h...

I want to see McEvoy played as much as everyone else but I hope they keep him away from Sandilands, as that may be one step too far, for a first up match. Play King on Sandilands at the center bounces and let McEvoy take their 2nd Ruckman. It seems like common sense to me. This team needs some fresh...

Andy, agree Gehrig is certainly better than most of the team, but even he seems to be (welcome actual stats from anyone here to make a contribution) better when in motion wheeling around from a mark or free kick than from a "standing start" set shot.

Like many others, I too have been wanting to see Fergs played as a forward, as that was how he was taken in the draft (AAU/18 forward). He has always been written up as having a good pair of hands and he sure as hell demonstrated that on Sunday. He is too small to be a KPP, but he is more Hamill/O'K...
