Re: Membrey... The new Jake Stringer?

Look, he's certainly not going to be the guy kicking 50+ goals a year - but having another dangerous lead up forward means that roo/Bruce and/or paddy can't be double and triple teamed as much. The benefit of guys like Membrey sometimes isn't in the goals he kicks, but the goals he allows the other ...

Re: That POS UMP cost us the game FIRE HIM!!!!!

Yeah - I'm heartbroken and feeling a little robbed as well... But please, have a little sensibility about it. A couple of wrong decisions gift hawthorn one goal. We served up at least 3, probably 5 goals to the hawks on a silver platter. A couple of absolutely atrocious kicks in our defensive 50 - t...

Re: Game Thread v GC Suns

Jesus christ... I really like to think that I'm not THAT bias when watching... but the umpiring has been... interesting. That was a pretty soft free right at the end there and for my eyes was a mark to Delaney. We've been well off the pace... but two goals due to iffy calls really takes a lot of mom...

Did my fitness course with him;
Nice enough bloke, decent size to him - back then he always worked pretty damn hard in the gym!

I'm from geelong so it was going pretty crazy down here a celebrated with many a cats supporters who welcomed me with open arms due to my hate of collingwood! The chant of "f*** you collingwood" that echoed round the main street warmed my heart!

I wasn't a member this year...

But something about all this has stirred me. I don't even care if I don't make it to one game. As soon as I get the chance I am becoming a member for 2012.

I was having a chat with a mate about team selection... Last week we felt a bit imbalanced, pretty heavy in defence... here's what I reakon would be best for team structure (taking "too many changes" out of the equation that is) Gardiner, Gram and one tall defender out (blake, dawson or gi...

What if?

Hey guys... Just a little personal story here... I remember sitting down watching the footy a few weeks back - it wasn't our game, but an ad came on for the game between us and the crows. It was only a pretty short promo, but geez - it stirred up something in me... What if... What if we string a few...

No chance at all.
Any serious knee injury is 12 months before you are back to 100%

Other option is to cut his legs off and have him crawl around. He'd still find a way to rack up 30 touches and 10 tackles :P

Sounds like a top bloke! Condolences to his family. As sad as events like these are, I just got the feeling it would have been a very happy and blissfull passing, having held on long enough to hear his great grandchild for the first time - something very poetic and beautiful about that! Thoughts are...

I dont post a whole lot... but I feel like I'm forced to with grams performance today... Turned the ball over a few times while he was under not much pressure - his disposals weren't fantastic, but look, I'd probably be willing to let that slide, except... I can't remember when it was, vacant goal s...

First thing I noticed?

The noise! Holy crap the noise the crowd made for us...

At the end of the game I had to check it was just a regular season game, not a final... where is that sort of support these days?

Yes the circumstances are a little different, but my oh my.

Hey, I'm not sitting here saying NBA and AFL are at all similar. Yes, Roo would cover more distance than NBA players in a game Yes, Roo would cop heavier hits than NBA players during a game Roo is a freak in his own right, but for someone who is so athletically gifted, I would honestly have thought ...

Riewoldts Performances

Hey guys; I haven't had the chance to watch anywhere near as many games as I would have liked this year - but in the few that I have seen, I've noticed something that I reakon is quite disturbing... Riewoldt has the turning cirlcle of a truck. Now, before I get started - Yes, he's tall and therefor ...

Something that I noticed about Peake (maybe I'm wrong, maybe I got him mixed up with others) is that he was providing a lot of protection to the ball carrier, shepparding and sheilding really well giving our boys an extra step or two of room.

But maybe I'm wrong?

didnt think of the pop-ups for folks at work! Apologies.
Where does everyone here host the pics?

Thats the size I made the image - I can make it bigger but it'd just distort a bit, a little bit bigger wouldnt make it horrible: Any word on a good image host thats not gonna give inappropriate popups?

I noticed it during the song too. Like you said - Milney didnt belt it out, there wasnt the usual shenanigans of people throwing their drinks all over the room. Someone else said it before. Very businesslike.

This Year vs Last Year

Last year after the siren went when we'd put ourselves into the grand final, the celebrations were massive. Obviously it'd been a long time since we'd been in one, but one of the big big things I noticed about tonight was there was very little celebration and carry-ing on. The focus and determinatio...

Interesting line-up I reakon. Gwilt named up forward, which makes a little bit of sense to me: Doggies only have Hall as a big foward to worry about, so we can afford to be a bigger defender down. Gram in the back pocker, Mini at HBF and Dempster on the wing are all a little odd. Kosi at CHF and Roo...
