Re: Footy Fix: Ross Lyon is the AFL's most boring coach once again - and it's suffocating the Saints' season
Early Tackle: Bont disaster which could cost Dogs dearly SCOTT GULLAN, heraldsun.com.au YOU SPIN SOME, YOU LOSE SOME Ross Lyon is a genius, that’s the reputation he holds in the football world and it seems like his time in the Triple M commentary box has served him well. His openness when he has a m...

He’s a contested bull Play him in the centre square - rest him forward To me it’s a fkn no brainer It must be that they don’t think he has the tank to play there. I can see no other conceivable reason. But yes, start him in the centre square and rest him forward. Surely he has the tank for that

Re: Paddy Dow to play for Sandy
Good. We need some matured-bodied, experienced players back soon if this is to be anything more than a development year. Brad Crouch, for example, good player but short of superstar status. We’ve missed him a lot more than many would have thought. We need a competitive performance this week against ...

Re: Charlie Cameron suspended stiff to not get the StKilda tax
Toby, fantastic player and probably a great bloke. But - given the four weeks to Peter Wright in round 1 for similar - one week for that, with his record? No penalty for Cameron because he is a so-called good bloke? It’s a lot to ask from the AFL, but some consistency would be appreciated. All very ...

Full Time ..frees 21 to 8 Eff me. We were second to the ball all night. No surprises there. We were but let’s not let those pathetic excuses for umpires off when it mattered… Dogs constantly caught with ball … Dogs throwing the ball???? Saints forwards had no back apparently it was ok to charge int...

Re: VS WB
The Dogs think they are a top 4 side and they certainly have a healthy core of proven top 4 performers so I’ve been surprised by some of our fans thinking we should account for them easy. If they turn it on they will account for us easy but that’s the fascinating aspect to this game for the neutral...

Re: Could we get a selection surprise this week?
Would it be a surprise if we get some AFL capable experienced mature and match hardened bodies into the side? I agree, if it’s to be other than a development year. But who is available? Howard is down as test. Others - Crouch, Wood, Dow, Henry - are weeks to months away. We’re just going to have to...

With his leg, obviously the aim would be to get it in his hands as often as possible (a bit like we do with Nasiah and Sincs) But remember it was only 8 weeks ago he was banished to train with Sandringham for a fortnight. He has definite AFL attributes And things to work on Yes, I have noted that i...

Re: Arie SCHOENMAKER
Battle got 25 and 13 marks just two games ago Wilkie has his hands full on guys like Jeremy Cameron and Jesse Hogan I get that BigMart. I’m saying he’s getting a lot of possessions, so maybe a bit premature to pigeonhole him as a defender who can only come in to replace Battle or Wilkie. He’s shapi...

Re: Could we get a selection surprise this week?
Is Owens actually getting a run through the midfield? I’d have him in there ahead of Phillipou at this stage. I feel he can impact now whereas Phillipou is a way off … will get there though.Banger9798 wrote: ↑Tue 16 Apr 2024 10:13am Garcia should start, he and Windhager and hopefully Owens should grow into a strong midfield group.

Re: AFL great Carl Ditterich charged with child sex offences
It's hard when you know deep down you might have to change your beliefs about a hero. Look at OJ Simpson, there were people ecstatic when he was found not guilty, perhaps even a majority of people. It took some time for people to come to grips with it. Jimmy Saville, Gary Glitter - the world is lit...

Re: King cleared of ligament damage
It’s amazing how often clubs become over reliant on one man as the main target. Makes you predictable and easy to counter. It needs constant vigilance.
