Re: So who replaces Roo as leader?
Armitage now but I wouldn't rule out Newnes in a couple of years. If and it is a big if. Fisher held up in the body department; would he be worth considering for a short stint? It would mean replacing Roo next year. His leadership in the back line has been great this year. Geary would be the other ...

Re: So who replaces Roo as leader?
Why replace him? It works well currently…. too early to speculate I reckon…. Maybe in his last year if we have too… would be nice for a youngster to break out….. If we're looking to challenge for a flag in 5 years time; we need to look now for a transition. Hopefully Roo has another 2, possibly 3 y...

So who replaces Roo as leader?
Self explanatory but there will be a massive void when he retires. Should we prepare more now by playing him in more non forward rolls?
IMO we wouldn't have beaten Brisbane without him. How do we prepare for the future?

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
We can still have a presence in St. Kilda. Why don't we open a Saints shop in Fitzroy Street or Ackland Street which sells our merchandise, memberships and other related items. We could even sell ice-creams or coffees if we wanted. The shop could also be staffed by players on a roster basis. That wa...

Re: Memorabilia
My wife rang and asked me how high she should bid for Nathan Burke's 300th match day jumper at a local Scouts fundraising night.
I told her to go to $800. She picked it up for $100. Maybe because it was a bit dirty.

Re: Trout's war room- article
Good on them to try and work out the best methods in an effort to make the best selections. I reckon Riewoldt would have had a clean room as a child but on the other hand Plugger probably had pie and chiko roll wrappers scattered around his room. Riewoldt was a leader though but Plugger was probably...

Re: Petracca
Not sure about height but Petracca looks a bit like Pavlich to me with the ability to perform longer midfield stints.
If he turns out to be anywhere near as good as Pavlich; i'd be happy.

Re: GWS to get pick 1
If we want to rebuild quickly; we need multiple picks so that the team can be brought through together. One stand out player in an ordinary list won't get us anywhere. Personally I'd take 3 good picks inside 20 rather than just pick 1. Mind you I'd be very nervous in case the number 1 turned out to ...

Re: Maggots are cheats
Mmm I can smell a conspiracy. Come on guys our team isn't good enough yet, but crowd numbers affect umpiring decisions. It's totally understandable why home crowds get more free kicks. The crowd demands it. Umpires are easily swayed particularly in 50:50 split second decisions by the crowd reactions...
