Get ready for some seriously strange things happening in our night time skies over the next 4 weeks, with all the stars and planets realligning. Its inevitable now. No matter what happens the Saints will be taking the flag. I started to doubt it overnight after Adelaide won yesterday, but it was all...

Why don't you just come along to the Western Saints function on Thursday night at the Italian Club. All the players will be there!

Saints to LOSE Friday night games ??
I think the point is that we play too loose during Friday night games. I agree entirely (but wouldn't restrict it to Friday nights)

Hardly a genuine rivalry though was it? What about Lockett v Silvagni? or Lockett v Langford? or Lockett v Kennedy? or Knights v Van der Haar? or Keenan v Scott?

I think the comparison with Goddard of a couple of years ago is an interesting one. We all thought Goddard was too slow and made poor decisions - but now he seems to be a lot more self-assured, and seems to make the right decisions 90% of the time. There were times last night when I saw the same thi...

If you thought Gardiner was great, you must have been watching a match from 2003 when he wore the blue and gold. He's not in our best 22. While I'm on it, Maguire and Raph Clarke were disgraceful. Neither of them deserve a match. Bring on Jarryd Allen and get Max back into the team. Can't agree Bon...

Re: Our Most Devastating Loss Ever

Anyone have any other candidates for our most devastating loss ever? Good lord. edit: Should clarify, I appreciate points made about the finals but those games that are final and absolute - very hard to rate H&A efforts. 71GF 97 GF 04 PF 05 PF 91 final against Geelong H&A? The colle...

Yes, I find it quite insulting that he continually refers to us as "Saint Kilda" instead of "St Kilda". Does he do it deliberately?

Our Most Devastating Loss Ever

As bad as last night's loss was, underscoring as I think it did that we are no where near the premiership threat that we thought we were this year, the Saints have had much darker days. I think many people would nominate our 97 GF loss as our must gut-wrenching defeat, but my candidate for our most ...

I expressed my doubts about Harvs and Milne after last week. Both were excellent this week. My concern is around our lack of defensive pressure in the forward half. We won't beat the top sides unless we address this. Our weakest players in that area on Saturday were Gehrig, Milne and Harvey. I think it might be time for all three to be rested - replace with M. Gardiner (if fit), Schneider ...

Johnson is, and has always been, a great player. I doubt if he intended Harvey any malice at the 97 count. Infact I have seen him in interviews since then after games we have won praising Harvey. Johnson's effort in the last quarter on the weekend was amazing. It brought back memories for me of Burk...
