It's going to be great and the Club will have a 50 year lease @ $1 per year. A GREAT DEAL! A lease of the building footprint, but not the oval. The oval is covered by a licence, which is a non-exclusive occupancy. At Moorabbin we had a lease over the entire reserve including the oval, building area...

59 to 36 I heard Ross say on the radio.

They took advantage of their inside 50s - we didn't.

They kicked straight - we didn't.

I'd rather lose to 2 lower teams than 2 other teams in the finals (assuming Hawks beat Essendon next week).

We'll have beaten all the other tough teams - we've just lost to a couple of also-rans when we lost focus.

I'm sure in the finals our hunger and intensity will return in spades.

We are all united by the fact that we support this great club, which also possesses the best guernsey .... It is a marvel that the least successful club in VFL/AFL history boasts a supporter base which can rival those of most other teams. GO SAINTS I reckon the red, black & white is the stronge...

Hate to tell you. The news will either be the works commencing or the works being expanded or a change in the funding model. Unfortunately, it's the turning of the sod. It will be the start of a project that, within 5 years, people will be wondering why on earth did a previous adminstration make su...

Re: MCC Members Grand Final Ticket Ballot

You gotta hand it to the MCC - they are pretty fair and reasonable with their allocation process of GF tickets in the reserve, and unlike the AFL, treat their members with respect! The MCC is a fair dinkum club, and treats its members like any proper club does. The AFL is not a club. The AFL clubs ...

Not sure about the point of this thread.

None of us will be worried about scalpers prices.

We have all had social club membership, just waiting and hoping for this eventuality.

Historically, South Melbourne (Battle of the Lake), and more recently I suppose we could say Sydney as they pinched Lockett, Everitt & Hall (although we got a good deal out of the Lockett trade, and best to see the back of Hall & Everitt anyway). More recently Geelong was supposed to be the ...

Doesn't he play up forward in the VFL? Looks like a decent shot on goal (that first shot aside). I saw him play a fair bit last year with the Scorps. Good mark and very reliable kick for goal from 50. I confidently predicted a goal when he had the first kick, but he certainly showed a bit of what h...

The real shame is that despite being "sold out" when you actually watch the games at Aurora there are heaps of vacant seats.... I think there was only about 15,000 at the last game... and the ground has a capacity of 20,000 plus. Something doesn't add up... It had been raining for 2 days,...

The Club has a 50 year rental on Belvedere Oval at just $1 a year, now again why is that a debacle??? I think it will have a lease over the footprint of the building - not over the oval. The oval will be available for community use as well. The whole process is what has been the debacle. It has tak...

The Ablett 50 that was paid when he clearly played on was also a shocker The problem is the speed of the game, and the umpires don't keep up. Ablett takes mark, and quickly plays on. Jones reacts like lightning to stop him. The problem is that the umpire has to call play on, and until he does Jones...

If they don't win the flag this year, one premiership from three will be seen as a massive failure for a team that has dominated all three of those years. There is no debate about where will be training in the future. Its Seaford as the club has stated. You are the only one debating it. Just one question. Do you think it was a good move for Melbourne to move to Casy to train there on some occasions? Yes, I think they made the right decision for two r...
