MCC members can become a melbourne member for about $50 and they have had a drive on this.
It is effectively a donation as MCC members have free entry anyway.
This will help boost their numbers
I am an MCC member, and as I support the Saints I only go to the MCG once this year, unless we have finals.

The umpiring was appalling.
Plus we were robbed of three goals. -Riewoldt handballed to Goddard, he also kicked the goal off the ground in the first qtr., and Gram's kick cleared the goal line by a metre but was called touched.

Is the tackle average relating to last year? -so far this season we have laid 162 tackles -an average of 81, which would put us at the top of the list.

Has he registered for the national draft?
If it is only the PSD then Brisbane would take him with their first pick which is before ours.

No 17 was Ray Cross.
I knew him fairly well as he worked at the same company as me.
He was a pretty hard nut half back flanker.

The writer of the report never checked the second game result.

Blue Ribbon Cup

On the Saints official website there is an article re the next match against Hawthorn. At the end of the article they state that Hawthorn currently hold the Blue Ribbon cup. I was at the last game against Hawthorn and we won that -about round 15 or so. The jouno writing this didn't check it out very...

I think it was an Adrian Anderson "brainwave' similar to the ridiculous match review system.
A system that allows a 25% reduction to Barry Hall's guilty plea, Adam Goodes to have multiple reprimands, and at the same time gives a loading to Steven Baker for something no one saw.

He nearly always is unnoticed and gets very few accolades fron the media but is having a superb season and I don't think he has been beaten.
Kept Lloyd and Travis Cloke nearly kickless and kept Fevola to 2 goals.
Let's hope he goes on next year.

If my memory is right that match was on Queens Birthday and it was a crowd of over 80,000.
This makes nonense of the Tim Lane article recently about the "long tradition" of Melbourne versus Collingwood on Queens Birthday.
At this time the AFL used to share the blockbuster dates.

We have a much better chance of finals than mathematically as the next two weeks we play North (8th) and Carlton (10th).
If we wins these we will be entrenched in the eight with several winnable games to come.

as I understand it he will go into the draft. I can't see any club giving first or second round picks and it will probably be the pre season draft for uncontracted players. The teams with early picks like Melbourne will have first choice, and the Saints and others could only decide whether to go for...

If we are a chance to beat North Melbourne we need to recall Dal Santo and definately ahead of Schneider. Dal Santo is one of the few players in our side that has the vision to set up play, and on many occasion has been the goal assist player. Kosi is also a must if fit as we know he has the ability...

Last year the crowd against Freo was 24,041 when it was virtually an elimination in the run to the finals Round 20.
with Freo hard pressed to get 100 supporters in Melbourne on a Friday night, and the saints struggling we may be lucky to get 20,000

We should definately keep Kosi and all our established players.
We know that Kosi has the ability to be a matchwinner, and all you would get would be a second round pick.
Many players draftedin the 20's never really make it -why would you trade an established player for a maybe?

It's just the way Dal plays and can appear casual, but he is frequently in our best. He also receives the closest tag by oppositioon teams as they know he can be very damaging.
In 2005 when he had his best season, other sides were tagging Harvey Hayes and Ball more than Dal.

The idea of trading any of our good players such as Kosi for a draft pick that is a lottery at best is stupid.(remember Beetham and R.Clarke (both no 8) and Fiora (no, 3) All we need is to recruit a couple of quick midfielders in the Aaron Davey mold -both he and his brother were rookies! The Shane Wakelin de-listing was certainly one of StKilda's worst decisions. I read an article at the time that he was keen to continue at the Saints, but Malcolm Blight didn't want him and he was de-listing with us receiving nothing in return. He has now played 150 games for Collingwood -not a bad ...
