Any idea of a time-frame for this appointment? Pres said 4 weeks scuttlebut says by 18th Nov. Team flies out ( free) on 26th Nov, Captain meets them in Boulder by the 21st according to the pres....draft day.... So is it a problem the coach won't really be there for draft?, and would he go to Colara...

I think that the Pelican and the board know thre was going to be a change of coach before the trade period but the coach didn't and it was kept quiet so we could get some trading done. And I do think it may have at least made those young blokes who nominated us as a preferred club think a bit differ...

Still have to go through a process, and see where his head and heart are at right now and going forward... A few salient points: 1) Sacking a coach is not a "crisis". It's how AFL clubs function, and it's become a blood sport every season for the AFL media in the past 5 to 10 years. 2) Was Scotty any good? I don't think he was there long enough to make a call. But no one here had to work with ...
