You make a lot of good points rexy, and I agree that he has improved. It's reported that RL is a lot more relaxed and passionate at the club behind closed doors .... don't know how true this is, but apparently his passion is evident to those who work with him ... maybe something the general public d...

If you include Ball, and don't count Schneider and King (recruits), we will have 13 players who have played in a Preliminary Final against the Hawks ... So 13 blokes who were part of those 04/05 teams ... Obviously you add in a few guys like Gram, Raph etc. who were at the club at the time but didn'...

Don't forget against Hawthorn last time, Ross Lyon picked the extra "runner" ... went with a faster and pacier side ... it worked. No reason to replace Allen with a tall this week IMO. Roughead - S. Fisher Franklin - Hudghton R. Campbell (when forward) - Blake Williams - Gilbert (was good ...

It's been written that he retired after the game on the weekend, and it was also reported in Inside Football a few weeks ago ...

Hasn't been verified yet though.

Blake in the ruck is actually a serious solution to that problem. Especially against the smaller Hawthorn ruckmen, who help their midfielders with the contested ball. Blake can nullify this Hawthorn advantage, and provide us with extra pressure at ground level in the ruck. Michael Gardiner has retir...

Was good against the Hawks last time from memory, and is going to be a massive part of our future. Whether or not Robert Eddy plays is not going to determine whether we win on Saturday night. Hence, I would play him ... give him more games, more experience and more time, so by this time next year we...

We need Goddard's offensive ability ... he is our "Hodge" ...

Jones a better matchup for Rioli ...

Gwilt or Birss (if selected) to get first crack at Hodge.

Like the idea of Harvey too, making Hodge accountable.

Not me. I said to someone I was watching the game with that Lyon's job would be under a fair amount of pressure because of that performance. By full time I was eating my words, that's for sure. Since then, we've been terrific except against Collingwood during the H&A. I thought against the Eagle...

Lyon will make the fewest possible number of changes. Why mess with a winning formula? Plus McQualter shut down Mitchell last time. If Ball is fit, he obviously plays ... even only 50% gametime off the bench would give us a huge lift from him. Or playing up forward in the pocket. OUT: Allen (inj) IN...

Ignoring the fact that McEvoy has played a couple of sensational games for Casey in the last few weeks?

Pick on him for one bad performance?

An 18 year old ruckman in his first year?

Jesus.

Thought a lot of Fraser's kicks were cheapish ones, and his stats were a bit inflated.

In the packs and contests, King had the better of him.

Steven King - sensational in the ruck tonight

27 hitouts and 3 tackles, as well as a few contested possessions from King tonight.

Gave us first use, and competed and provided a really strong body in the ruck.

More importantly, kept his opponent Fraser quiet.

Nice for us to have a good performance from a ruckman in a final. It's been a while!

King has absolutely dominated the ruck.

Has really helped our midfield. Nice to be able to have a strong and physical ruckman in September.

Is Koschitzke performing to the level expected of our 5th or 6th highest paid player?

No.

Is he performing to the level expected of a second ruckman and 3rd forward, and hence to the level needed to be a part of our 22?

Yes.
