I have now learnt and others should too, if we win and we cant catch on percentage to slow it down, is really worth the risk of an injury?!! Exactly. About controlling your football. No point going flat out, 110% in the last ten minutes when you have the game won like we used to back in '04. Just c...

Pick #23 ... ended up being Matthew Moody, who has played 30 games in 4 years and will probably be delisted at the end of the year.

Re: So....improved?

What are our expectations? That we don't lose another game. Have we improved? Bloody oath. Chalk and cheese to earlier in the season, and despite what the W/L says, much improved to this time last year. We can still improve a lot but it's nice to be getting some players back in form. Agreed....

Agreed.

And Schneider is 24 and Dempster is 23.

Both have 5 years and 100 games left for the Saints.

Great trade.

However, finishing 6th and playing a final against Sydney could be good.

It would mean playing at Telstra Dome, and most likely on the Saturday night.

The intensity of the Armo that I saw play today was vastly different to the majority of what he has served up in the ones. Why? Because in the ones, every single player has that same level of intensity and you don't notice it. At the lower level, there aren't as many blokes who play with the same i...

One of the most determined players at the club and he bleeds red, white and black. Heart of a lion and is tough and hard working on the training track. Exceptional fitness too. Bakes will be back and hungry next year. He's an integral part of this football club. Anyone thought about how upset Baker ...

Very interesting details on the potential draftees. What chance is Tyson Thomas from Sandringham Dragons, out of interest, to get drafted or rookied? Any? Grant's son ... highly doubtful ... has ability but bit undersized and probably not in the same class as many others ... but the name may mean h...

Jeff White?

http://www.realfooty.com.au/news/news/white-looking-to-the-future-wherever-it-may-be/2008/08/19/1218911718256.html Will be let go by Melbourne, but White wants to play for another couple of years at AFL level. Worth picking up? Great around-the-ground ruckman and still does pretty well in the hitout...

It would be interesting to get peoples views (ie a fan review) of what are the factors that have caused the following. In 2004 Geelong and St Kilda were rated as the future "glamour" teams of the AFL. We were creditted as having a great list, GT coulkd "smell the premierships coming&...

Baker won't return ... 2 games at AFL level this year and he hasn't played footy at any level for a month ... he would need 2-3 games in the VFL to get match fitness.

So unless its for the grand final, then we won't be seeing him again unfortunately.

The funny thing is, the top sides on form aren't all in the Top 8. Geelong, North Melb and Adelaide are the only clear "in form" sides at the moment. So having to play anyone else in the finals is not a hard ask with the way a lot of sides are playing, provided we play well of course. This...

We could also certainly do with Baker; perhaps McQualter (or Eddy) in a like-for-like change. McQualter? He has been one of the hardest at it over the past month or so. Would be nuts to drop him. Agree. Has done as well as Baker would have done as a tagger IMO and offered some run and decen...

Jones played his worst game for 2 months and everyone writes him off.

He IS the sort of player you want in finals - doesn't squib it, goes in hard, does the 1%ers, strong tackler, hard body.

He's been good for us this year and deserves his place in the side.

4 tackles which is high for a ruckman.

Won some of the footy and played very well, even though he struggled (as even Dean Cox does) against Sandilands ...

Good game.
