They are just not skilful enough to execute when it matters.
The bulldogs seem to have no trouble kicking goals so it won’t matter how hard we work, tackle, pressure or anything else when we can’t get the basics right.

They are simply not good enough to kick goals consistently like other teams. Goal kicking is a skill and our players obviously can’t execute when needed and it won’t be changing anytime soon. The sooner everyone accepts this the happier you will be.

I’m no expert but Tony Lockett always aimed for the goal umpire. If a player can put it on someones head from 50 metres away then look up find the goal umpire and pass it to him or her? There is probably some A grader on a contract out there amongst the other clubs thinking you know what, the Saints aren't that bad.
