Re: Josh Bruce
Although not your text book set shot he is effective in front of goals and proved that last year. Odd that he wasn't tried in the ruck yesterday as I think that's the spot they are grooming him for (Stanley replacement). He will probably take a minute to get fully over his surgery and get his body r...

Re: Richo message or saying
Here's an idea...why don't we just wait till we see how they go before we worry about predicting doom and Richo's demise.
Yep, goes against the grain when you're a saints fan that can only focus on negativity and the glass half empty.

Re: Make or Break 2015
Not a chance in a million that Delaney's going anywhere in the near future unless we find someone else in FA. He is an absolute rare commodity on our list. goddard and/or bruce will replace him eventually.....both those boys will make it...imho..that is.........we should have recruited young tippet...

I honestly can't believe anyone would argue trading our remaining experienced mids.WTF
Neither Armo or Steven are going anywhere.

Nice summary and yes all of those players would have a question mark over their heads. Not sure I'd describe Sipposs as the man with all the talent. That's yet to be shown. Yes he has a good kick but I think he's a fair way from showing anything special.

Re: Can the 2012-17 cycle compare to 1999-2004?
The speculation around our rise in comparison to the last crop is largely dependent on our recruiting in the FA department coupled with an external perception we are on the up. It cannot be underestimated the impact Hamill, Gehrig, Powell and that crew had on Roo, Kosi etc. Clubs build on the excite...

May as well play Sandy you'd at least get an honest contest.
If we beat anyone next season, please let it be Essendon

Whatever he's been doing both in training and on game day in the last couple of years seems to be working well for him so I can't see much change. Others will need to contribute and bring themselves into the game more.

Re: Rookie draft selections
Saady's the interesting one here for me. If he can get back to some solid form and we've got any potential for upgrade it changes the whole balance of the team. Billings could move into the middle more and Membrey may push up the field. Surely Billings is playing as a small forward because its good...

Re: No Limits- Richo ( afl.com.au)
Yeah with the old blokes looking at their last couple of seasons it's also important the few guys in our middle tier continue to have an impact - Geary, Armo, Steven, Roberton, Delaney, etc. Ross, Weller & Curran are going to be important as to where we sit in terms of midfield. Non are going to...

Re: Training Updates
Really hope Hickey can stay on the park the coming season. He, IMO, could have a big impact. We haven't had a real dominant ruck for some time and he's really mobile. Haven't heard any reports on how he's going but you wouldn't expect any world records from a big man.

Re: Saints homeward bound!!
I'm not sure people are giving management the credit for the job they are charged with. If the deal is crap they won't take it, why would they go into something that would damage future potential in all areas. I'm pretty sure they'd be doing a complete assessment on benefits for all 3 locations. Th...

Re: Why McCartin was a logical choice
Have no idea why people are getting paranoid about the selection of McCartin over Petracca. All you have to go on is verbal hype. This recruiter said this, another reporter said that - talk about jumping at shadows.
Why don't you wait until they are at least a couple of years into their careers FFS.

Re: Rookie draft selections
I think there are a lot of positions up for grabs so it'll be pretty interesting who gets the first nod If Saad puts in a good pre-season and shows what he had in is his 1st season where do you put Templeton and Billings? Does Billings start going through the middle? If Bruce plays forward where doe...

Re: Luke Beveridge
I think it'd be a bit rich of us whinging about WB's late call given Richo's situation last year. McKernan's an interesting one given what happened at the crows last year. There was a spot available for either him or Jenkins last year as a ruck/forward and Jenkins ended up with it - both had a defic...
