How many can be on the rookie list? The pies have 8 on the website? Could we down-grade a few of our underwhelming seniors? Cahill/Heyne Heyne is likely to be rookied given that he is contracted for another year. Cahill is almost certain to get the chop if Sandringham observers are anything to go by.

Facts every club has to make 3 spaces available to be used in the draft ( Carlton have to ditch someone) Gone from St Kilda Gardiner, Eddy McQualter Baker Lynch Walsh so in fact no more need to be - EXCEPT--- Salary Cap during trade week St Kilda went from having 3 picks under 68 to having 6 picks ...

Watters finally on... Senses a lot of optimism amongst the players as has been reported. Rhys Stanley, Arryn Siposs, Jamie Cripps, Tom Ledger are the players he named and threw down the gauntlet to challenge for spots in the team. He liked Lynch but can't cry over spilt milk. His outside perception ...

I'm a bit suprised that we bothered with the pick 68 from Sydney for Walsh. Surely we won't us it anyway? Though perhaps we were looking to bundle up some of our second rounders for a higher pick.... Reckon we got 68 as a possible rookie up-grade pick for Darch Doesn't make sense. We can use whatev...

Isaac Smith was a first round selection in 2010 wasn't he?
I was thinking of Shane Savage.

Still cant agree with you, 2006 was worse than any year. Armitage at pick 9, brad howard 27, jarryd allen 59, mathew ferguson 74 and thats it. and in 2004 our first 3 picks got us mcqualter, ackland and mcgough. Peakes first year in 07 got us McEvoy and your avatar image jack steven the other years...

I blame John Peake! Our first round picks from the two years under his watch are now torched in the space of a week. Although 2009's pick 16 was already burnt, Walsh was the justification for gambling with it. Saints must be looking for draft picks after missing other deals - delistings to come. Do...

Lost a couple of prospects, added a couple of prospects, added some draft picks. At a guess I'd say the team went in looking for interest in mid-tier players for picks and didn't get it. Both players that were traded out were reported as requesting the move. That's probably not a bad thing. Where's ...

In all seriousness, maybe Nettlefold is there in regards to contracts? That is my only explanation for it. That's Bains's area. I can only think that Nettlefold is there as mediator. There may be conflicting views between the footy department stakeholders (Pelchen, Bains, Elshaug, Watters) as to wh...
