They all still picked us to win at 3/4 time when the scores were level. So they must rate us. I reckon it's amusing that the forum will vent their frustrations about our performance, certain players, but if commentators don't talk favourably about us we all go crook? I'm very confident they would ha...

I too was yelling at the TV with all our errors. However I reckon when you look at the game retrospectively, you couldn't have asked for a much better result, considering the circumstances. I'm bloody rapt tonight. THought we showed real class, to come out in that last quarter, obviously a bit off o...

That first 10 mins in the last really showed character, and I think it was their fifth in that quarter which gave me a smile as the WCE supporters began to leave. :D And a great show from the WA Sainters today! Good sound coming through the TV from the saints supporters too I thought. Normally you ...

I was exhausted at the end of the game too and I only watched it on TV. It is good to see our guys exhausted at the end of the game. It means they did not leave anything in the tank. That is part of the new winning culture at St Kilda. Agree completely. My mate rang me the other week after t...

Superb contest in the last 1/4 that cleaned up LeCras. However I agree, I'm not sure what's wrong with him, but we definitely need more from. Too important a player to be getting 9 possessions. I'll cop 20 possessions and 8 tackles, with some imoprtant work in clearances. If that means he's not kick...

Apologies. Once I posted it I realised that my comments were contained within. My poor attempts and correcting the error obviously didn't work. Still getting the hang of using these quotation/replies thingys. No probs...just don't make a habit of it  Good way to win an argument though ...

How then is an umpire supposed to determine whether a ball has been handed to or stolen by a team mate? I reckon that's the umpires job on occasions. To determine intent. ie was it a genuine intent to spoil, or reckless conduct worthy of 50m? Was he attempting/intending to get rid of the ball in th...

Nick - I actually reckon we've been quite conservative with our njury management this year. When Kosi experienced hammy tightness, he rested the game out and took the next week. See what happened when Cousins didn't do the same in 1st round? Gilberts ankle the same. Milney missed a couple with a kne...

How can you possibly say the ball was 'handed' to Selwood? Ablett was holding the ball in the air whilst lying on the ground with players all around him. Selwood took the ball off him, just as any number of saints players who converged on him could have. The ball wasn't given to Selwood. Same as if ...

I would argue that players attempt to break the rules every week. Our players included. THat's the nature of the game - to push the boundary's until the adjudicator (the umpy) outlaws it. I can't see the umpy's outlawing this any time soon, due to the greyness of the action. If Ablett had shoved the...

Except he didn't hand it to him. It was taken from him. B ig difference. The ball is wrenched from players hands numerous times during a game. I agree Ablett would have been more than happy to allow Selwood to 'take' the ball. Almost impossible to draw a fee kick from. A bit like a player whose inte...

How can it possibly be deemed a throw if someone rips the ball out of your hands? I actually thought it was brilliant. Is it possible for us supporters to love our team and still recognise the brilliance of the opposition? THe merit of our win only becomes so highly rated due to the opposition. Harr...

I'm sure this has already been highlighted, but just one more time. I checked out the replay yesterday and there was a tackle Dal Santo laid on a Cat, which spilled out of his hands, swooped up by Lenny Hayes and the umpire calls advantage. Lenny then goes on to shank the kick and the pill end ups ...

On the other hand, we now know what sort of effort is required to play against top class opposition. Hopefully the boys are in the zone and their confidence is up. Usually it's injuries that unsettle a team. Fortunately we don't have any. The boys are starting to play like a well oiled machine at th...

You must have been ropeable at Max back in 2002 I think it was, when we lost a close game, and looked like we would never win a game. Max was balling like a baby. I don't mind a bit of emotion in the boys, as long as it's controlled during the game. And for what it's worth, if the cats players had s...
