Why should they? It really irks me when people think it's the bookie's fault for the odds. The idiots who started piling the money on the hawks MADE the odds go down - and when we lost seven of our top seven, of course they kept lowering the odds for the hawks. Bookies will be too busy laughing the...

Bloody hell, Sandy can't take a trick, I'm worried about this club, we have no depth and no bloody kids coming through judging by their inability to even compete in the lower level   You're right our depth is terrible. Today a perfect case in point. 8 players missing, 6 of them in conte...

Re: My hat off to the St Kilda Board
My hat if off to Greg Westaway and the board for their leadership in strongly supporting Ross Lyon in his early days when he was was struggling to get the players confidence and when his early stages of development was demonstrating very boring and messy outcomes. The uncompromisingly defensive wor...

Knew there was going to be some big changes but now I just feel sick. Why?? I would love the saints to win every game they play. And they still have a bloody good chance with that team. But if we do happen to lose, what's the big deal? Our backline looks as strong as ever. Who will pick up Rioli? T...

I'm looking fwd to this game even more now. Many of the guys coming in will be bursting out of their skin to have ripper games. Can't wait to see Jack Steven have a crack - Ball will be primed, and Geary gets another go after playing great footy in the seconds. Only one negative - Supercoach finals ...

Gardiner needs to get back playing. WE can only wrap him in cotton wool for so long. Interesting that Joey has stated that he...

Re: A timely piece of reminiscing...Rd 16 2008
He’s right, of course. Our form’s a harder to track than Osama bin Laden, ‘I’ll be there for sure,’ he says, a glint in his eye, nostrils flaring at the prospect of picking on the bones of a freshly slain Saint. Friday comes. Beers are opened. Baker’s on the Cascade Lights. He drove. So...

Maybe b/c no-one knows exactly what days finals will be played until the end of Rd 22. All they have said in the past is that if you finish on top they will try and give that team any advantage that they can, ie a 7 day break. I'm not sure what the big problem is with the AFL. We can play the doggie...

I recall last year the club e-mailed me and told me that their records indicated that I've been a member since 2005, and asked if that was correct. I e-mailed them and told them it was more like 1997. I thought mine was a one off error, until my best mate, who's been a member since 1988, was told th...

Mr Magic, are you telling me that if every technical free was paid to Fev, Buddy, Brown when we played them you'd be happy as long as Roo got them as well? Your argument is solid in that logically of course frees should be paid regardless of the player and the position on the ground they're paid. Ho...

I agree with PLugger. How hard do you reckon the deees will be going in that last home and away game? WE could play different blokes through the midfield, and rest our stars for the second half of the game and still win in a canter you'd think. Not ideal preparation for a final unfortunately. I woul...

[ lecras is rubbish and so is drummond. you don't watch much footy do you? Hopefully WC and the Lions off load this rubbish for a 4th rd pick in the next trade period. WE should accept these two list cloggers as we have enough depth anyway. Sort of like an equalisation system to assist the other cl...

Who cares? Roos wasn't begging for a reversed result, just pointing out that Montagna dragged a Sydney player to the ground. If the umpire had seen it, it would have been a free kick. Except that's not what happened at all. I could almost see Roos' point if that's what did happen. Jack illegally tr...

To be honest all of the top gun fwds have a hard time of it - and always have. THis will sound strange, but as long as the others don't start getting the holding frees, I'm happy for Roo to miss out on the odd one. I know it's frustrating, but can you imagine how frustrating it would be if EVERY gun...

Personally Luke Ball is the one that I'd love fit and in form. Gilbo and co, whilst very important, can take an extra week if need be. They could probably do with a rest. Ball is the one we desperately need in form, and can't afford to have him out injured or playing half fit in the reserves. Hard f...
