if we're to play all of max, dawson and blake in the same backline raph would be the one likely to make way. in some respects it would make us perhaps more solid defensively but maybe at the cost of losing some run and flair, There seems to be a misconception that Blake and Dawson are purely defens...

Thought he was a bit rough on Milney. In years gone by, GT's critisism of Milney would have been warranted. IN the past 18 months he has turned himself into a far more consistent player. Don't reckon Milney has anything to prove this week, or the week after. He is doing EXACTLY what we need from a s...

They were giving it to him on mmm about it as well. He reckoned he was trying his guts out, but nothing was working for him.

Couple of Buskers near the LaTrobe Street bridge playing 'Oh when the saints.' Not sure if they're the same ones from the Bourke Street bridge.

Drop Dawson for Max? In a heartbeat. No comparison. Zac is just learning. He is way behind Max, the 2 Sams, and Blake. I make him our 5th tall defender. To say there is no comparison is a bit rich , if its that clear cut Barry i guess we wont be seeing zac again this season . Agree Gurgman - certai...

Not sure the club would have been happy with his form regardless of whether he was a million a year or $150 grand.

I'd bet my last dollar that Ball would be filthy that he's in the seconds. I'd hope he was. Doesn't even worry me if he's filthy at the coach. Sulking? I don't know the guy personally, but from everything you read or hear it just doesn't ring true. Someone like Fev, I could believe it - not Luke Bal...

What are you all wetting your pants about lol? Sure McEvoy has seemed to have improved with the added match experience but lets not be over the top shall we? 7 possesions 4 marks a only 4 hitouts. Everyone just take a deep breath and step away from the key board. He was not 'sensational' tonight as...

It's also human nature that if you have played a shocker (which to be honest Ball did in that Geelong game) that you find it hard to get as excited about the win as other blokes. He wouldn't have felt as much a part of the win, b/c he didn't contribute much to it. No doubt Ball himself was troubled ...

Not so sure about Zac. May have chosen the worst time possible to get himself suspended. I would play Max against Buddy in 2 weeks time. If he beats buddy whilst buddy is in this sort of form, then I reckon he'll have secured his spot. What I love about the team is that there is genuine pressure on ...

[quote=" For the same reason King came into the GF for Geelong 2 years ago is the reason we will stick with him in the finals. You cannot buy that experience. Next year for Ben I would think. I reckon King was brought into that GF (2007) b/c Blake was crap leading up to the game - no other rea...

Re: Do we have an aura now?

For the first time as a saints supporter I thought we had an aura about us. Combined with the article written by hird during the week and our tackling pressure the dogs started to wilt before the tackle hit. I have never seen the dogs go to water completely. It was almost like they were worried abo...

Just don't see Kingy win nearly as much ball around the ground, And if he does get the ball, it's rare he does anything mind blowing with it. THought Maccas positioning tonight was great. Kingy still ahead and better technically in the ruck work - a goal down at the cheer squad end from a boundary t...

Thought the kid was sensational tonight. Took some grab, out thought Hudson a few times to earn free kicks, and used the ball well. Most importantly though, I saw him throwing his body around like big men should. Will be very interesting when Gardiner comes back - for mine I would play him before Kin...

GT did a fantastic job - his contribution to this football club was enourmous. He laid the foundations for a change of culture and belief. We now have that. It's a huge credit to Ross Lyon that he's been able to build on that foundation and continue to take this club forward. Two strong coaches has...

I agree with the OP. It's interesting when you compare ourselection criteria with that of say a Collingwood. Brad Dick had been in reasonable form, was down the last 2 weeks (particularly last week) and out he goes. Malthouse seems more about rewarding anyone who has been playing well in the 2nds - ...

IF we win the flag this year - I'll be very interested in ppl's thoughts 2 weeks after the GF. Might be half the sqaud in there :) I reckon Kosi would be lucky to be in our best team of the last 10 Years, let alone last 50. I reckon he would agree as well. I reckon plenty of neutral ppl will get along. WE usually get at least 25,000 (minimum) saints supporters to Sunday games against poor drawing interstate teams. I can see us getting about 28,000 saints supporters in this week, about 15,000 doggies supporters and the rest neutral.

I reckon using emotional spurs as a gimmick can bring you undone. Bit like giving your missus flowers every other night, in the end the effect wears off (this is my excuse for not giving flowers too often:lol: ) However, historically, milestone games or important games to respected individuals withi...
