Re: Changes for Round 3

The "winner" last week in this thread was saintsRrising who was the only one who correctly predicted Pattison coming in. Interested to see how we'll go this time around... And really, it's hard to see too many changes. 104 point win, no injuries, and Lyon's obvious propensity to give play...

Pattison out Lynch/Stanley in I felt that Pattison showed very little. Although McEvoy had a quiet night also, he has at least shown potential (in previous games). I'm not sure if Pattison has ever showed much potential? For the people who are deciding for no change. Please don't tell me that it is ...

Baker is one of the worst SC players there is... But at StKilda he is super important
agreed. there are far better options in SC than Baker.

Cahill (if fit) will prob get a run with Sandy, it would be good to give Gardiner some match fitness prior to the season. Gardiner in will exploit freo's second string rucks even further.

Re: No Live Footy in Brisbane this week

I see with great frustration that there is no live footy for Sainters on free to air or Foxtel this weekend in Brisbane Bloody hell there are only 4 games this week and they cant even accomadate that. On Sat the Port V W/coast game is on about 4pm and then ours at 7.30pm. Looks like I'll have to li...

With no early picks last year and a disruption in the draft process with GC and GWS, it is pleasing that we have a few boys developing well. Looking ahead from the Harvey/Hayes/ball midfield we'll have Armitage/Steven/Smith to hopefully carry us for the next 10 years. They all seem very capable. It ...

I live in Brisbane and manage to watch every saints game live without foxtel. With the saints playing so well, they get a few games live on tv. The games that are not live on tv I watch via a live stream that some chaps from the southern or western states is broadcasting. It's not TV quality but it'...

I've been looking forward to this game for a while. Detailed reports would be fantastic. So much to hear about. Particularly the youngsters and how they've gone after a pre-season. Armo, lynch, heyne, mcevoy, peake, walsh, lovett;) etc. Go boys! No injuries please!

Hopefully these players can push forward with their development! My predictions: Armitage - 22 games Geary - 22 games McEvoy - 16 games Steven - 8 games And player such as Heyne, Lynch, Walsh...should be aiming for in between 1-5 games. Should be an interesting year like stated. This would be my gu...

Defensive game? Whilst tackling is not the sole measure of a defensive game, it is certaintly deemed as a defensive measure. In his three games this year he averaged 8.7 tackles and had a game high of 13. Armo is fit just like nearly every player at this time of year. Doing better in the running tha...

I've always been a quiet (until now) critic of Jason Gram. Not for his lack of defensive pressure as noted by others but his poor disposal. I argued this with a saints supporter whilst watching a streamed game. His point was that he has a heap of inside fifties. Mine is that he often blazes away usi...

I agree with most posters by saying that the majority of AFL footballers would meet the running requirement. The majority of AFL footballers would be bench pressing in the 120-160kg range. Thus a long way off from 240kgs. That is just massive.
