Re: Let Lovett play elsewhere.

It would be a win/win situation for both parties if St Kilda formally advised AL that he is free to ply his trade as a footballer with another club, not in the AFL. We would be seen as not pre-judging his rape case and allowing him to earn an income. In return, if the unfair dismissal case goes aga...

[We've sacked him - we have absolutely no say in what he now does or where he now plays. To accept Grumps contention is to accept that we somehow have a 'hold' over his playing future which is totally at odds with our publicly stated case that he no longer is a Saints contracted player. I'm not say...

Except that Lovett is claiming that he is contracted and listed. It seems he's looking for three years salary on top of being allowed to 'ply his trade' elsewhere. All this from a team that he never suited up for. I don't see the win/win at all. His solicitors are saying that he is not free to ply ...

As long as they let AL play for someone else. Another AFL club, or someone in the WAFL? As soon as he signs another contract would this not negate the "Saints sacking made him damaged goods and therefore loss of future earnings" argument? Would have to be at a level lower than the AFL, bu...

Re: New Tassie Team

Jumpers will be predominately light blue with a horizontal dark blue stripe down the middle. With a map of Tassie on the front of the shorts. Now that would be just ridiculous Mark. You'd prefer it over the breast? Yes.... more inspiring.... but the announcement didn't mention that a Tasman...

Funniest thing about the news was Kennett's reaction. Talk about furious. Reckons it will cost the Hawks 15,000 Members. And the likeliehood that the Tassie side are chasing Buddie and that the Hawks , Ablett like will only be compensated for only pick 26-ish just completed the interview for me. Ye...

New Tassie Team

Great to hear the news that Tassie is finally to get its own AFL team in 2016. For those who missed the announcement (no link yet), the Simmons Plains Race Track is to be redeveloped in a joint venture between the Tassie Govt and the AFL for a 60,000 seat stadium. Jumpers will be predominately light...

Re: Clearances around the packs?

Dunno if it's just me, but looking at the Swans game and the NAB game against the Dogs, we don't seem to be doing too well with clearances around the packs, as it seems our smalls and mids don't seem to be getting enough of the ball...any comments ?? I thought that the Swans rucks were more effecti...

At some of the small suburban grounds I have known, he would have been playing on from inside the clubhouse! There should be some ruling controlling the play-on situation outside the field of play. In other sports I have umpired/refereed, once the ball goes outside the field of play the game ceases ...

When are people going to realise that at functions like this the club treats its supporters like s***.

We should be thankful for blokes like Eva and Muldoon otherwise we would get nothing.

Love the quote:
Andrew Lovett had himself at the top of the list for this category before circumstances changed around Christmas time. It's unlikely we'll see him turn any games positively for the club.

Still no input from the posting public? No lessons learnt? Hmmmm. Are you saying fools on he...
