Great pics Gainzo!

went to boston back in 97(!?) on our road trip across the US. Nice historical city. had a few brews at a micro brewery - 400 beers but no VB back then!!

The film 'Glory' is my second favorite of all time - the 54th statue is inspiring.

Hi guys!! Our big day is finally here!!! Had buggerall sleep!!

Ok, I was gonna post the 44 connection to today's date but was beaten to it.

But how's this for a 1966 omen-y type thing:

Add the date of the 66 GF - 2+4+9+6+6 it equals 27!!!!!!!!!!

Breenie's number that day...

I wasn't thinking that Maxwell leaving the sunnies on was a big deal but then I thought, well, he is captain, representing his team. And I can't imagine in past GF parades, any other captain is wearing shades in the cup photo. I cannot believe there are some pie fans who honestly believe they are go...

Tony Lockett is 44 and returned to us this year.

Carlton were 44 points down at half time in the 1970 GF - John Goold Brownlow night.

If there was any truth in this, it would've come out early in the week.

Oh, and Nigel Lappin played with a busted rib in the 03 GF, not 02.

Spent the night in hospital afterwards - inspirational.

Ok, this isn't about Roo as a coach in the future but about him generally:

I reckon he could play till about 36, the same as Lynchy did for the Lions. He could just stay in the square for longer as he gets older. With a good team around him, he could jag a ton even.

I'm in tears again after reading this and the report in todays paper.

I never knew that Trev's sister died when she was 8 - that is truly heart-wrenching.
To lose one's children way before their time is the greatest anguish of any parent.

This GF will be the most emotional of all time should we win.

Yeah, they are pitiful up here. Didn't show the Friday nught prelim till 930!! Living on the coast we get Prime from NSW, which has all Friday night games live. The AFL really has to step in and demand 7 and 10 Brisbane show the footy live. One great thing about Ch.7 having the GF this year, is that...

Plus, I've long pushed the fact that Kozzi is a 'dead ringer' for Raf Nadal the tennis champ![/quote]

Yeah, there is a slight resemblance. i reckon Kosi also looks a hell of a lot like Duff McKagen, the GunsNroses bass player, from his early days.

Re: Our bottom six

However it is a known fact (or at least a coincidence) that the team whose bottom six stands up better on Grand Final day usually wins the Premiership. No it's not. Agree with Rodge here. Geelong's bottom 6 didn't do much last year. And I would have Cloke in that top 6. Sure, he's not as good as he...

No mention yet of Heath Shaw, who I rate as maybe the best Pies defender. Sets up a lot of plays and has been 'forgotten' about a little bit in the hooha about maxwell and windscreens.

Who does he normally take, Schneids? Any thoughts out there?

I feel more confident than last year, thought am more nervous. Its only Wednesday and the game is on my mind 24/7! The worst part is imaging another loss... I think part of the confidence is knowing that our opponent isn't Geelong. Even though our record against is great at the moment, and we did ou...

I'm a huge MLB fan and have read a few books on the sport. I read this last year and loved it. I think they are doing a movie on it possibly with Brad Pitt. As well as getting handy players cheap, i like how the coach changed the strategies of the game, by going for men on bases as opposed to simply...

Last year after the siren , i forced myself to watch Geelong getting the Cup. It hurt but I owed it to the boys to 'be there' with them and share a millionth of the pain they had. And becasue the GF was such a high quality game with great respect between the teams and no sniping garbage, it wasn't r...

I'm still wondering why the weather has a major effect on us. ok, we hope its a dry sunny GF, but we played well last year and in RD 13 it was just as wet. the skill level from both teams that night, especially in the first half was awesome. While i would prefer to see our boys in our trad strip( which doesn't clash anyway), it shouldn't be a major distraction for the fans, or cause arguments amongst us.
