Still a few locked-in fragile colonials around I see The efforts to show respect and to recognise & acknowledge Indigenous people and the terrible effects of colonialism, dispossession and accompanying racism are good things. However When was St Kilda FC ever an Indigenous institution, when was...

Re: Brad Hill - 3 more years
I was very critical of him initially (we still paid too much) but his years under Ross have been great, comfortably in the top couple of players I was very critical in 2020 and 2021, however changed my tune in his third year with us. Brad must have been Nostradamus in 2022 because his kpi's started...

I'm 100% a Hunter supporter.
Fingers crossed for the lad. Love what he brings.
Loved how he started 2023 and also loved his input in the Elimination Final.

Re: Hunter Clark
No one should doubt his attack on the contest. Some of his work in congestion is outstanding I agree. I think Clark has shown his value as an inside mid, but he hasn't done it across 4 quarters and 100 minutes. I think Hunter would have disposal numbers a lot higher if he had a tank to play out qua...

Re: Hunter Clark
Weights will ultimately strengthen anyone. I can't believe some of the comments on this page. There is inside mids and outside mids. Inside mids need to be strong outside mids need to be fast. Clarke isn't blessed with speed (or much endurance really). Therefore needs to be strong around the ball o...

No comparison to Roo at the same stage of his career. None at all. Definitely not.... 2001Nick waltzes into Harvard - Gehrig, Everitt, Loewe, Hall...with Hamill, Hayes, Harvey, Milne in the mid and small forwards....SUPPORT. ALL DAY EVERY GAME...for years. Re: Hunter Clark
Lincoln McCarthy spent 6 full years on Geelong’s list and could only manage 29 senior appearances due to various injuries. Hunter Clark will recover from this. McCarthy had a really good run in the last 5 years at Brisbane but unfortunately the team is cursed atm, and he’s one of 4 players to have d...

Buckley was referring to the amount of inside 50's St Kilda was getting against North Melbourne, when he said King is a liability He said that King doesn't work hard enough. Maximum effort isn't there. Buckley said King needs to understand his strengths and use them, which he's not doing The guys in...

Teflon would have been a star under the roof at Marvel. I've heard he hated it when it was windy or it rained. He preferred to sit on the bench and wait for ideal conditions
That's how he gained most of his footy iq. Observing his team mates winning the footy and getting cold and wet

To be able to adapt to Tassie weather, I suggest 1. Boys go for swims daily at Melbourne beaches 2. Walk to training from the carpark without a jumper or a hoodie 3. Wear shorts at home all week and don't put the heater on The other hazard when they go on interstate trips is the all you can eat buff...

Re: Mattaes Phillipou
Jack Sinclair was no good in his first few years. You're right... I've done a comparison of Sinclair in 2016 with Pou for this year. He was very skinny and lacked strength in his first 2 years, but he attacked every contest. I think he suffered severe concussion and it set him back for a short peri...

Comparison with last year This vs last Better Higgins 56.5% vs 43.4% Membrey 56.5% vs 37.5% Worse King 43.8% vs 54.9% Sharman 40.0% vs 65.2% Owens 41.2% vs 51.0% Not a fair comparison imo Sharman was playing as a wingman and a defender this year. Pretty difficult having to be a fill in utility and ...

Re: win banked and move on
We also need to be seen as an attractive option for free agents on the move. Draft picks are not the only option. Are we aiming for top 4 in 2025? Are we flag contenders in 2026? I don't think we're either...so let the development occur organically with a core group of youth aided by the experience...

Re: win banked and move on
I'm not suggesting the club and coaches deliberately tank. I just think the long term is more important than banking wins in the short term
Get as many games as possible into our youth and continue to provide decent opportunities to them.

Re: win banked and move on
Nice cliche heading. Congratulations I know it helps our sanity having more wins and it makes for happier fans in the short term...but I'd rather we bank a pick 5 in the National Draft rather than a pick 8 or 9 or 10. Here's some of the quality that has gone at pick 5 in the last 20 years. Connor Ro...
