So without any of those three we must be a real chance.
Well I'm pretty certain that Waite won't be there, so we should be OK

I wonder if there will be a rookie upgrade for the Siposs LTI? If so, who?

Re: Luke Beveridge

It almost seems that the club has formed the opinion that Beveridge is gone. Heard on the 3AW sports show last night that the club has decided to combine Bevo's role with parts (about 1/2) of Pelchen's old role and then appoint just one person. If that is the plan then Beveridge probably wouldn't be...

Hmmm, OK I'll wear that but it seems that Membrey would not be one dimensional in his game. Just looking for the positives :|

Re: Tim Membrey lot to like???

Did you notice the comment in that phantom draft: "I would be drafting him to be developed into a strong bodied inside midfielder. Has the skillset and as well as the physicality to thrive in this role but having played mostly forward this year it is still an unknown." From some of the com...

Re: Luke Beveridge

Doesn't anybody have a comment about the Hun's article today that suggests that Beveridge is a shoe-in for tbe Doggies job???? Any inside info to put my mind at rest? I was getting very bullish about the contribution that LB could make generally but also as a confidant/sounding-board/etc for Richo. :(

Re: What Should We Take From Trade Week?

Its not going to be pretty next year watching our team of old vets and skinny kids getting smashed by teams like Melbourne, Footscray, GWS etc . Attracting FA's next year is going to be hard if that's the scenario. I was hopeful of getting some mature bodied players during the trade period. Not kee...

Petracca injured?

I see in the club website report on day 4 of the draft combine that "Petracca pulls out with what looks like a hip injury".

Has anybody heard anything about that?

I believe that marking is predominantly a confidence issue - you really need to believe that you are going to take the mark in order to do so. Just so happens that confidence is not something that can be flicked like a switch, and the longer this trend goes on the harder it will be to reverse. On o...

Sorry if it is a dim question but what does the director of coaching actually do? How does he fit into the coaching hierarchy? Does he have a job in the box on gameday? :?

Re: The lost years

Don't forget that Geelong had about 5 "cheap" draft picks under the father-son rule (before they changed it about 2 years ago). That got them some gun players and left their early/fisrt round picks to get the best available.

I really think that gave them a huge advantage.

Re: Leadership???

It's all very well to say "get rid of them and play the kids" but think of the GWS and Gold Coast examples. They had to trawl to find hacks and/or money grabbers to make up an experienced support core for the young kids. You can't say that those players thought that they had a shot at a pr...

I've spoken to Beau at training and on several other occasions, I found him to be a most humble and friendly guy. Even after all his trials and tribulations form-wise the b bloke gave the club 100% effort, Big respect Beau! +1, I met him in Thailand when he was on his end of season break last year ...

He needs some form of protection from the umpires to be honest about it. Why do the rules change when a defender is infringing on him? Yep for the first part for sure. Its been as bad as youll see this year I dont know if its just they cant umpire or choose to ignore infringments against him. Ok. N...

Graham Gellie only playing 31 games is one of the greatest tragedies in a long list of tragedies in our history. He really was something very special, his handball skills were comparable with Diesel Williams. You are so, so, so right about Graham Gellie. I remember him well. We had a very good year...

LTI rookie upgrade for Wright

OK all you Sandy watchers - who is in line for the upgrade?

Do you expect a "like for like" replacement or has a particular player just been so far in front that we just have to take this opportunity to give him a game?
