Re: Play the youth

in partial agreement with B.M. Wilson looks comfortable at the level, too early to judge Collard, BUT Pou looks completely out of his depth. Cannot break a tackle, his too easily brushed off, panics with the ball when he has it (rarely) and has yet to show, in my view anything to justify his draft p...

agreed BM; just the occasional flash of brilliance not enough to justify a finals spot. He's still a kid

Re: is Clark too slow?

Clark is not just slow- his loping stride length also impacts his kicking depth, and while he looks as if he should be a good kick many drop short and are intercepted. He has most of the skill set we love to see- and I hope he stays but works on improving his running style if that is possible?

is Clark too slow?

whilst a wonderful inside player with skills on both sides, and vision hard to teach , is his lack of pace a limiting issue that makes trade talks understandable? I remember in the North game how easily Tarryn Thomas motored away from Clark as he ran in to score a goal. Clark has a loping running st...

explain this ......

Dan Butler, playing as a small forward reportedly had over 300 metres gained; Jack Billings only 57. Similar time on ground.

well if he does not play who do we have to take Charlie Curnow? Not a great match up for either Battle or Wilkie.

Apologies if I have made it seem that my comments have been submitted by saints rising - They are mine alone and refer to the hype on Billings as a junior that justified our pick that as it turns out have never been realised.

Re: Bytel Injury

Bytel, Billings, Jon "Billings is actually an effective player and uses the ball well. Most of our current 22 do not. Billings is also a good mark for his size." this is just nonsense - he has no impact as a marking player and finds it hard to kick to the advantage of a team mate! No doub...

'tis a very different legal environment now - the league has no doubt risk assessors/lawyers/actuaries and.... looking at the exposure and the future protections needed to prevent bankruptcy from lawsuits. the message and the actions need to cohere - the retired players that talk about a football in...

Re: Adelaide Preview Thread.

I would play Campbell - Reilly O'Brian is having a great year, plays as a conventional ruck and is a key in their midfield clearances. Tom will bother him physically more than RoMa, the latter finished the game with ice on an ankle - another reason perhaps.

Re: According to fox footy ...

if only he could kick - and by that I mean to the advantage of a team mate! It's hard for others to adapt to that insufficiency. That said, he's worth a spot and he has to figure out how to improve.

saint-lee knows of what he speaks - a clavicle by any other name still takes the same time, plating can make an 8 week side-line shorter as it stabilises the fracture.
