Re: Surely Caro gotta be joking ..?
I'm not a Caro hater at all. I actually think she does a very good job overall - sure she's stuffed a few things up over the years, but who hasn't? But I agree with the comments that this article is rambling and lacks a point. The whole tone of the article is critical of Roo, but then she says he sh...

Re: Luke Beveridge
Doesn't anybody have a comment about the Hun's article today that suggests that Beveridge is a shoe-in for tbe Doggies job???? Any inside info to put my mind at rest? I was getting very bullish about the contribution that LB could make generally but also as a confidant/sounding-board/etc for Richo....

Re: Chris Pelchen - The aftermath
I also heard the interview today and I couldn't disagree with him anymore when he said we were in a similar position to the Hawks in 2004. Maybe we will be at the end of next year or even the year after but we are no where near the rebuilding stage of the Hawks in 2004. Not even close. Completely u...

Disgraceful! That's almost as bad as when GT forced us to draft Ball ahead of Judd because he used to be having it off with Ball's mother!!!citywest wrote:Ok, I'll put it out there.

Re: Rhys Stanley for Pick #21
Is the jury in or out? Not sure how we can be pro or anti Pelican yet. Too early in his plans. But we will know one way or the other in 3 years time. Yes, agree it's still too early to know if he's doing any good or not. But what I do know is that I like that he has a plan. It might not work, but a...

what I was actually alluding to was the rate of decline in terms of W/L rather than the decline down the ladder per se. Do you realise how insane you are sounding? The following year we finished 16th... So from 6th place we went to 9th then 16th Nothing about that can be considered "arresting ...

Best final he's played, easily Didn't see the game last night but heard he was good. Was he tagged? Hmmmm, looks like Saints didn't know how to get the best out of Dal... That wasn't what I was suggesting, but he has always struggled with a hard tag and pretty much always got tagged when he played ...

The best trade in the clubs history, if not the comps Why? Because we offloaded an overated dinosaur for two premium midfield kids lol . Then throw in Savage for good measure. I am happy to hear if we've done a better one, I can't think of it? Way to early to call. Losing ian Stewart for Billy Barr...

Re: luke ball retiring
I think there was an ego struggle between RL and LB. Sadly that was put before the best interests of the club (egos over team is probably a saints trait over the years....) My position is if RL wanted him gone well thats his prerogative as sr coach - but it is disgraceful we got nothing in return. ...

Re: Come Home Luke Ball - all is forgiven ?
Why Luke Ball is still critised on here amazes me, we all know it was RL who ended his career with us as well as costing us a flag by refusing to put Luke back on the ground in the '09 grand final when he'd been one of our if not the best in the first half. Any player worth his salt would've wanted...

Is this the team coached by the guy who ripped into us when we sacked Capuano mid-season and said that this sort of thing could lead to a player "dropping off a bridge or swinging from a bridge"?

Dermott Brereton, I'm reliably informed by a source at the Herald Sun. It is Dermott. Came out at our footy club on Tuesday or Wednesday. His son hasnt been playing in the junior side he coaches and apparently has some pretty serious personal issues. Seems like a strange place to come out. Not that...

Re: Jack and Billy (Hartung, that is)
Weird article. Fact is, the better you are as a junior footballer, the higher the likelihood you'll be drafted by a lower club - Riewoldt, Ball, Judd, Goddard, Cooney, Delidio, Franklin, Roughead, the Carlton guys etc. That's the whole point of the system, so Billings is exactly where his junior car...
