I am not sure that Freo is the best location for Ross.
His style of football is very tiring and I am not sure it will be easy to implement week in week out on the large open WACA ground.
It is very hard to stifle the opposition when there is so much room to play with.

Re: McGlynn hit on injured Steven
That c**k knocker Finey was saying it's jack's fault for having a funny running style so he hobbles anyway so it will be disgraceful if Mc Glynn goes down for it. Maybe he should just go follow the dons or someone else, most negative fan ever and I read the stuff on here. Something totally unrelate...

Re: Is Kosi OK?
Well that would explain a lot. I remember saying to my friend at the game "That I had never seen a player that slow before as he was in the 1st quarter".
He did improve a little as the game wore on but still a poor night by him.

Re: Questions You would ask....
I would ask the following: Have you ever considered body piecing and if so whose body? What really happened to the crew of the Mary Celeste? Are you more a Jimmy Little or Jimmy Hoffa fan? If you could turn back time, If you could find a way, would you? Why do people never say "it's only a game...

Re: An IDEA for the Swans game !!
Jimmy is playing though. Perfect replacement for Blake. I am afraid I don't agree at all. Jimmy's greatest strengths are his ability to run and carry and his ability to deliver the ball coming out of defence. His biggest weakness in the defensive role is playing against the big beast forwards which...

Re: An IDEA for the Swans game !!
There is an old football adage that goes "A good big man will beat a good small man every day of the week." This does not mean "A poor to ordinary big man will beat a good small man." So why do we keep playing big guys who are not good enough "for structure"? Kosi is o...

Re: I saw a St Kilda side.
What I saw was a team who were absolutely smashed in the first half. They then got back into the game as their opponents took the foot off the gas in the third quarter. Then each time they looked like they might just make a challenge the eagles slipped a gear and just did enough. What I saw was a si...

Re: An IDEA for the Swans game !!
You don't necessarily need a target man at FF. Kosi must ruck as he is the only person we have who is capable of performing the role. Blake is not a ruckman, can maybe help out around the ground on occasions, particularly in the back half but that is about it. An alternative would be to implement a ...

You will have absolutely no problems getting in. I had an accident earlier this year and the only game I have been to was the Blues. A friend of mine has used my membership and had absolutely no problems getting in. I will be going this weekend even though I am finding it hard to get enthused at thi...

5. Ray - Probably his best game for the club. Dominated. 4. Hayes - Just an amazing player keeps going and going. 3. Blake - Just quietly went about his business. Shut Waite right out of the game and rebounded well himself. 2. Armo - Put in a hard shift. Great clearance work and seems to have signif...

Re: Where we REALLY are
Simple fact is we have beaten three bottom 4 sides, we have had narrow loses to two very ordinary sides and got comfortably besaten by a good side who are playing badly. We are a 9-13 side in my opinion. We need to start looking to the future, but we need to do it sensibly. Some players should be pu...

No, but his actions over the years speak for themselves. Lots of people on here have never met Lenny either but speak of him in terms otherwise reserved for Mother Teresa and Nelson Mandela! We can only judge celebrities by their public personas. Well, I've met both and they are both absolute gentl...

Re: 73% of fans want a FAIR draw
So this means that 73% of fans want a 34 game season because playing every other side home and away is the only way it can be considered fair. All other draw structures are inherently compromised. I must be one of the 27% as I don't want the season to last that long. As it can't be fair I personally...

I would have thought a straight 10 for Ablett would have been right. He was a street ahead of anyone else on the ground.

Re: It’s going to be a long year for the Saints !
Watters wants to play the Pies way. Bring the ball in from the wings and bomb it forward to a powerful forward line taking contested marks or keeping it in at all costs. Two problems we don't have power forwards anymore that Roo is a shadow of his former self and we don't have the drive to play the ...

Peake Gilbert Geary - That is butcher city. Has there ever been three worse kicks of the ball named on one line together?
We need players who can kick not just run.

i didnt say that. i think he can play a diminished but effective role. rather than a dimished and ineffective one. ok - hes not as good. but if he kicks 2 goals a game im happy. hes done his job. (when he was at his peak he was probably 'worth' 5 goals a game with his marking). but im saying i woul...

Re: Oz article on riewoldt
Look back at how Matthew Richardson succeeded after being moved onto a wing...he went close to winning the brownlow. I heard a commentator say on the weekend that we should play Nick at FF but give him a run on the wing to keep him in the game.I like that thought. I agree Richo and Roo are similar ...

Re: Ladder Predictions now NAB cup is done and dusted
I think we will finish towards the bottom of the 8. Not good enough to challenge at this point. I think we have too many holes in our squad and too many good honest tryers attempting to fill them. We lack a real contested marking threat up forward like a Cloke or a Brown. Kosi should be that player ...

Well apart from the constant need to shave and the occasional flea I can see no downside.

Re: Steven & Armitage
Armo is a far superior extractor of the ball than Stevens. CJ is on par with Armo as an extractor the ball. What Armo has over both CJ and Stevens is disposal, he is a lot cleaner by hand and foot than either. However, he does lose out on pace to both quite signicantly. He is a midfield extractor, h...
