Re: Marshall to miss (Tier 1 Covid exposure)
I had my first Pfizer vaccination about 5 weeks ago and had no significant ill effects until about a week ago, just as I was contemplating dose two. While I was at the Suns game on the Gold Coast I felt like I was going to collapse, with a heavy sensation around my heart and a sense of nausea and li...

Re: Dunstan on Suns radar
Dunstan is more likely to move back to Adelaide, due to their weak midfield and cap space. He would still be on the fringe at Port as their midfield is deeper. The lure of coming home is very strong for unloved players. It is probably also strong for King, but the big difference is that he is much l...

Both games on Channel 7.
Saints often on TV late in the season and we're up on the Gold Coast this weekend, so we might get to see the team live, so actually it's nothing like 2020!

Ahem, if I remember correctly Ratts moved Members to defence late in our round 1 game vs the giants once we hit the front halfway through the last quarter. He's been doing it for months, not weeks.

Re: List changes
I would keep Joyce as a back up defensive 3rd tall, Clavarino too, but Kent and Lonie are surplus. I would have stamped Lonie's papers 4 years ago after he opted for a set shot snap from 30m out on a 45°angle on his preferred side and barely made the goal square at the Punt Road end in the final rou...

List changes
Normally fringe or failed reserve players get delisted, but this year many aging soldiers need to be retired and some should have stayed retired by their former sides. Carlisle(29), Hannebery(30), Geary(32), Roberton(29), Frawley(32), McKernan(30) and Hunter(28). All are finished due to injury (2, 1...

Re: Tony Lockett what a legend
Once kicked 10.7 ( out of 13.18) on ( apparently ) the full back of the century. Lockett had one free that day and eight against him. Knowing Silvagni’s scragging tactics, if that game was umpired under today’s rules Plugger would have got the frees and kicked 20+ goals that day. Best ever I saw Pl...

No I think Melbourne are like St.Kilda 2009, with a dominant defence.
Sadly for them the season will probably end the same way with another pussy parade!

Re: Luke Hodge: 'Rowan Marshall makes St.Kilda a different side"
I think we've been looking at the wrong part of the ground re our big man issues. Going "forward" Marshall and King will be gun ruck forwards, so really as far as rucks go we need a replacement for Ryder in 2023 or so. However, when Marshall is in the ruck, who is out second key forward wi...

Re: Thursdays Saints question time?
Well it could be interesting. Good initiative, but.... The guys appearing know what questions we want answered and the format allows them to skate over hard issues if they choose. If its a puff piece, well that's an insult to members and missed opportunity, conversely if its honest journalists will...

I don't think his kicking is all that bad. I don't think many paid attention to Jason Blake, Robert Elphinstone or Jack Daniels. :D Jack was by far the worst kick we ever had at Moorabbin....and we recruited him twice. I have to atand up for "Jack" there. Daniels actually invented ...

Re: Better off losing
The wild swing in form from one half to another and even one week to another remind me of another farcical period of Saints history in the mid 80s when we lost by over 100 points for three weeks in a row, but at least then you knew what you were going to get from one week to the next!

Re: Better off losing
When Crouch snapped that fairly easy goal straight after half time I turned to my partner and said "they can't lose from here, they're 6 goals up now and they've (Adelaide) only been able to kick 2 goals in a half". I also remember telling her that we couldn't lose after leading Port by 10...

If the Filth beat the smug Dees, workmanlike Dockers and us they will be a game clear ahead of us.
I like their chances of beating Freo and us atm.

Re: Banger Caretaker Coach of Pies
He coaches against the Saints in two more matches in Round 16 at the MCG. Now I'm really torn about who to barrack for since the Filth are only 2 wins below us and could rise above us on percentage by then, the way we are going and taking our brutal run home into account. We could end up with a high...
