Re: Lessons from the Blues
Members kicks that goal, and therefore they don't get that fast goal 30 seconds later. That was the game, we would of held and won. Totally correct. That miss, 20 metres out directly in front with zero wind, was pivotal. I don't subscribe to single moments losing games unless they happen in the las...

St Kilda punishes Melbourne mistakes to win back to back games under caretaker Brett Ratten St Kilda made it two wins from as many games under interim coach Brett Ratten but Melbourne was the architect of its own demise, and one unbelievable stat underlined where the game was won and lost. Neckline cut is crap, too rounded; middle white stripe is too thin; white armband trim is too thick; crest is too small - should be 70's-90's size but not in a black box as it was then. The St Kilda crest should be the biggest thing on the jumper, as it used to be, not the smallest

Tears of joy for Matthew Parker after St Kilda offer a draft lifeline
Article from the West Australian. It shows what being drafted means to some people - we see a football player, a guy who might or might not make it - he sees a life chance, a way to change his whole life. Tears of joy for Matthew Parker after St Kilda offer a draft lifeline Mark Duffield The West Au...

St Kilda has pinned its faith on four mature-aged recruits leading into 2019

Re: When Ross Was Boss - The Recruiter
Oh god, we could have had Cyril Rioli and Jack Darling if, indeed, Ross did let the cobblers cobble! Big stat in the middle of the article - our drafting from 2007-10 was a disaster. Ross left a mixed legacy at St K. For those of you who are not Herald Sun subscribers, here is the article. Former re...

Re: Can somebody direct me to the Saints fan site?
Correct. The absolutely vitriolic and hysterical commentary that arises on this "forum" is incredible, just beggars belief. It is the main reason I don't check in as much as I used to. My god, if most of you had lived through the first half of the 1980s you would have slashed your wrists a...

Balanced article on the Saints... Balance needed here
Good article in today's Age by a decent football writer, Jake Niall, that is very balanced in its view on where the club is at and what it needs to do to get back up the ladder - regain a bit of the flair it's always been renowned for. He highlights the importance of players like Jade Gresham in emb...

Re: Online Petition for Richardson's Resignation
What a "great" idea. Let me just interpret the intent here. Alan Richardson, or one of the management at St K, reads this petition, assuming of course they even hear of its existence, and goes, "Oh, I had better resign."
Ah, no.
Ah, no.

Re: BJ Goddard not offered new contract by injectors
Great idea!! Get BJ back. a) He is not cooked. Not at all. He can take a sweeper role across half back. Can still play. St K back 6 'out of' Carlile, BJ, Roberton, H Goddard, Savage, Geary, Rice and Brown looks OK to me. b) The guy who is cooked is Sammy Gilbert - delist - replace with BJ. Straight ...

Where is Hugh Goddard at?
For those out there closer to how Sandringham are going - where is Hugh Goddard at? We have lost Dylan Roberton for the season and it seems like the time for someone in his 4th year of football (injury free now I am assuming) to be good and ready to go, yet Hugh never seems to come up in conversatio...

You speak the truth 3rd Generation Saint. I too do not like losing either, but losses like last night's are honourable, and that's what we hope for this season - some wins and to make the losses watchable with some signs that improvement is there, unlike say, Melbourne. I too am enjoying this season...
