Re: What was on the audio?

Possibly, private stuff said between coaches about Saints players? I would imagine (no proof, just a hunch) that other clubs would just use Foxtel or Kayo to watch a replay, if they wanted. Behind the goals vision surely wouldn't be attractive to anyone unless an ump wanted a closer vision of a pot...

Re: Is Footy Classified Worst Footy Show on TV?

In regard to poor media form, what do we think of the practice of gleefully showing with commentary in room vision broadcasts of distressed, injured, vulnerable players in real time/half time. Several men with irregular heart problems wired up, Paddy's distress - which Longmire complained about. Se...

Dunstan on Show Me The Money

Sone really interesting stuff on the Dunstan deal to go to Melbourne on the new tv series Show Me The Money. Shows a lot of behind the scenes footage of the negotiations. He almost ended up in the Gold Coast but Melbournes recruiting was too good. Also some content on Wanganeen-Milera too which was ...

Re: Question about Training

In the off season I think they were training Monday, Wednesday, Friday. During the season I believe it's Normally Tuesday and Thursday. Times are something like 9 to 11 or 10 to 12. Even if they're not open sessions there's usually a few people about, walking their dog or whatever. You can try call...

It could literally be anything, and isnt necessarily a sign that he is struggling with his own mental health issues. There could be a death in the family or an issue within a close relationship or with a child if he has kids? Who knows. Its a good gesture from the club to give him all the time he ne...

Question about Training

Hey guys, im going to be in Melbourne for round 1 and will be going to the game, but was hoping to also head along for a training run in the days leading up to the round 1 game. Does anyone know if the guys train at fixed times each week, and if so, are the sessions open to the public? Any info woul...

Re: Ben King 2022?

This injury will play right into our hands. Will mean he spends more time away from the Gold Coast and in the company of family and friends as he recovers. He wont want to go back, and if he wanted to get away from the Gold Coast, this would be a nice easy transition away from them before a career i...

Quick question as an interstate fan who doesnt get over to Melbourne much, but will be in Melbourne for the week leading up to the Round 1 game. Do the Saints have regular training days/time every week? And if so, are any fans able to attend? Where do they train etc? I would love to come watch a tra...

Re: Can we still make finals?

Will struggle to make it, especially when you look at how the top 8 is unfolding and the talent we are up against.

A clearcut lack of legitimate elite talent is whats holding us back. We have a cast of B+ players.

Re: Match Thread Saints v Suns Round 8 2021

Still feel that whilst Hunter Clark is seen as calm and composed with the ball, hes often way too slow when hes chasing the defender. Im not sure if its that he simply doesnt have the tank for it, or is not a fast runner, or just doesnt try? But his lack of speed is noticeable when he doesn't have t...

Re: The malignancy had 10 disposals!

He who should be excised had a paltry 10 disposals. Apart from the lucky goal the ones I can recall either went out of bounds or to a Port player. I can’t even be bothered calculating what we’re paying him in terms of $/disposal. I’m sure the result would be obscene though. I lead a very highly eng...

Re: Options for changes thin

Will likely be shot down for this but despite his statistics, i thought Hunter Clarks effort and energy were terrible in this game, and against Essendon. Three or four times in each game where i noticeably saw someone going half effort only to realise it was Hunter each time. He has a real knack for...

Mean spirited OP when we should be together in a euphoric win. Perhaps some of the PM's empathy training is in order, then it is possible to see the difference between passionate disappointment in a club loved unconditionally and being piss weak. Mate we wouldn't have followed the club fiercely for...

Would drop Hunter Clark. Guy needs to be sent a message that he cant run around with half effort and there be no consequence. He was an embarrassment on the weekend.

Re: I believe the delisting of Savage is a mistake.

At 29 years old he still has at least 2 years left in him at the top level. We are now in the premiership window so a player like Sav could be very valuable. I can see why they did what the did but I would have rather they paid out McKenzie and kept Sav. So, you know more than the club's list manag...

Wait a minute, so the Pies need to cut costs and the Saints want talent. Why wouldnt a direct swap of lets say Seb Ross for Adam Treloar work? Pies get cap relief and a decent replacement. Saints get their man.

We needed an inside gun bull and it seems we now have one pending Adelaide's decision to match or not to match. Keep him fit and kerb his penchant for booze and we have a very good player. Just need Caldwell now to pull the trigger and a fit Gresh and we finally have the midfield depth we have been...

Gleeson: Long had momentum. Macrae's head snaps back because there is clearly more than 'glancing contact'. How about mentioning the fact that Macrae HAD THE f****** BALL!!! There is literally 0% chance we bring in players like Webster/Roberton who havent played all year. ZERO. Personally, id be accepting we cant "replace" Carlisle and Paddy with similar profiled players, and bring in Battle, Savage and Bytel. Then shuffle things around accordingly. Abbott/Rob...

Thrilled with where we are but on the subject of "but"s - was I the only one who thought the intensity of our final was way way down on the intensity of the other three? Apart from what was going on inside our heads, it looked like a home and away game to me pressure-wise. Think of Danger...
