Well, you can another 2 to the membership total. I have just signed up (with my son) for the first time since our Waverley days. Thought it was time to get over the disappointment of leaving Waverley.

Can't wait for 08!!

So it seems by this example that we are still going to have this 'cloak and daggers' approach when it comes to reporting a player's injuries - I like to call the 'A. Hamill 2 weeks' approach. And here is another example by the club to report Harvey's injury as a 'tweak', when reliable sources on her...

yeh sorry..shouldve mentioned it was a small tear could be wrong on all counts though...anybody able to confirm? Well the last line in the article says that it is only a small tweak, not a tear. The article also says that the 'tweak' occured during the first pre-season session. He did tear his calf...

Maguire & Harvey Injury Update

Reading today's Herald Sun (in the 'Footy Shorts' section) I came across this: "St Kilda defender Matt Maguire has had surgery on a stress fracture in his left foot, which has delayed his recovery by several weeks. Scans nearly two weeks ago showed Maguire had a hotspot in the foot that trouble...

I have a question about membership. I am going to become a member for the first time since our Waverley days, along with my 12 year old son. But I am reluctant to get reserved seats at the moment, because every now and again I will be going with mates who are not members (some are not even saints su...

Hi everyone,

All the very best for tomorrow, and have a couple of beers for me.

I wont be able to make it, just got back from QLD and am well and truly stuffed - drove up and back. Will need tomorrow to recharge the batteries.

Have a great day and go sainters...

Will try to make the next one.

Best post I've read in very long time saintsRrising. Not just because i agree with what you have said, but because your post was balanced. I especially liked your comments regarding customers versus members. Would love to see this published in one of the major papers - very professionally written.

Yeah, I should be able to make it - though i'd prefer it a week later. I will have only just come back from QLD on 3 weeks holiday, and will be pretty tired me thinks (driving there and back). I probably wont have access to internet either while I'm away, so wont be able to be updated on changes or ...

This goes back to the problem identified in another thread on here where STKFC does not fully control what happens at Casey and that our own VFL team would do this, but would be expensive

Perhaps another question would be who was our greatest full forward?

IMO Plugger would be 1, Gtrain 2, and going from what I've actually seen, I would rate George Young 3.

I think the bone of contention is that the review panel said there was 'body' contact and not 'high' or 'head' contact. From what I've heard, it was lucky the filth player didnt break his jaw!!

Re: Matthew LLoyd - Was that goal dropping the ball?

It went to Hamill, it created quite a bit of controversy. Could dropping the ball not be seen as incorrect disposal? I don't actually remember the incident you're talking about, but there is incorrect disposal, which is covered by the rule 'Throwing the Ball'. However, simply dropping the ball is t...

Re: Matthew LLoyd - Was that goal dropping the ball?

Wasn't there a dropping the ball decision paid to Hamill against Fremantle several years ago? It would've been 'Holding the Ball'. When the umpire makes that signal with both arms starting inwards and then sweeping outwards, the signal if for Holding the Ball. Hamil may have actually dropped the ba...

As an ex-umpire I can assure all of you that there is no such rule for 'Dropping the Ball'. There is 'Holding the Ball' or 'Throwing the Ball' but not 'Dropping the Ball'.
