Unlucky - the other 17. Great game! Great commitment. Great application. Courageous marks, fierce tackling, brave decisions. Classic clangers, obviously. But an absolute joy to watch.

Well, it's at home, ES, our home, also home of the $6.80 Pump water bottles. Won't be pretty, I can see Cats doing a 45+ job on us. Buy your drinks from subway outside they ground for $3 each ! Buy them at Costco, 30 bottles for $6. Anyone still using plastic water bottles cares little for the envi...

our best hope is if they assume we'll be a walkover - so they've already mentally packed their bags and gone on their break. Especially if meanwhile we've set our sights on them as the scalp we're gonna take!

Re: Better blend of age and youth today

He worked on his Goalkicking 90-93 with Peter Hudson... And I am certain Tony was still around... I'm sure he continued to work on his conversion, but the increase in goal tallies, that had nothing to do with Tony going... Just a change of position... From CHF to FF He was actually a far better CHF...

Re: Better blend of age and youth today

Stewie stepped up without Locktt?! B&F Vic CHF (EJ Whitten medal) Triple AA Whilst playing with Lockett FFS Maybe you don't remember but with Lockett gone, he really worked on his goal-kicking - and it improved out of sight. Not saying he wasn't already a great player but surely you remember wh...

Yes. Ch7 replay Agreed with comment about Billings, he got a lot of soft ball, used it well.... But often had no opponent. McKenzie, goes real hard!!! Sinclair has Poise... Eli is a gut runner... OKearney a ball magnet .... White good overhead, and a bullet kick... Leonie has pace around the footy....

Re: Mid season review The Age.

The guys "under the pump" are the ones that have barely been played. Tough to prove anything playing in the VFL. But we've learned so much more about Gilbo, Demps, Fish, Geary, Monty and Roo. That will set us up for the future! Don't you get sick of going on and on about the same thing we...

Re: Better blend of age and youth today

I only caught the first quarter, so missed the good stuff. From what I saw we would have been smashed to pieces by a half decent team...Dempster and Fisher straight back in. I disagree (with the smashed to pieces bit). Although our ball movement wasn't 100%, our pressure when we didn't have it woul...

Re: I'm not convinced about Al....

Surely tony74 is just quoting bigred who said we really need to win 3 of the next 4 (implying that we probably wouldn't) - and we have. Wasn't saying it was good, bad, or indifferent - just that it was job done. Which it is! Now we can get on with the next 4 - Geelong, Gold Coast, Essendon, Melbourn...

He's always had great quality that he's prepared to take responsibility. We've got a few younger guys coming through now with the same preparedness - Newnes, Jack Steven obviously! Now gradually hoping to see Dunstan, Webster, Billings move into that space.

Re: List 3 Positives & 3 Negatives vs Freo

Positives: - our defence - our forwards - ability of our mids to find so much for a comeback in the last (bonus positives: Gresham getting the last goal in indigenous round + putting Freo zip and 10!) Negatives: - switched to cruise mode after the first four goals - Sinclair's 2nd year blues (Love h...
