Re: AFL not investigating Zork
If reports are true about the Bastinac connection, then I doubt Petty wants to drag his sister through the mud. Probably a very poor sledge by today's standards, but doesn't warrant action. These days it's better to play footy and keep your mouth zipped. So it was a “Carslile” Murphy type sledge ab...

Re: 60,000 members
60,000 however comprised is a good number, yes. Good bench mark for new CEO. The Saints TV guys say Saints home game day experience is worst in the AFL. I agree it is poor. Hopefully keeping 60,000 entertained will cause the Club to lift their game in that regard. Two things re GameDay experience: ...

Terrific fella is Daniel and missed more than many realise. Interesting that Dan and Sincs are our most improved and live together. Maybe a few others should move in!

Re: Review sub committee
With the upcoming club review, I would love to see a sub committee formed comprising of Del Santo Rooey, Montagna and Goddard. These guys obviously have the saints connection but also they watch a lot of footy through their media roles & are accross all things football. Would be good but a litt...

Re: Pyss off Lloyd ya flog
"he currently works with an elite, forward and a renowned biomechanical kicking expert." The question is, can either of these two kick as well as Matthew Lloyd? If the answer is no, and I suspect it is because Lloyd was a magnificent kick of the football, one of the best ever, then then R...

Re: The Never Ending Story
What I have noticed over the years is that the difference between the great players and the rest, I'd the ability to execute skills under extreme pressure i.e. finals or critical moments in games. Need to train short, high intensity sessions, to mimic extreme pressure, quick decision making, perform...

Re: Pyss off Lloyd ya flog
A few thoughts. Anyone that thinks what Ratts says in public is the same as behind closed doors is a little naive. First instinct to protect and support the player , And not add to the pressure by keeping it indoors is paramount. Saints would give access to the best, he currently works with an elite...

Re: He's Only 22
I, like every other Saints supporter was terribly disappointed in King's chronic waywardness on Friday night, and yes, if he'd kicked straight St Kilda would probably have won that game. But I think it's quite unfair to unload our frustrations out on the young fella, instead we should sympathise be...

Re: Are we so used to failure…
I believe we have institutionalised mediocrity and that is reinforced by the current group of players, coaches and administration. I think why so many here are attached to the GT-era was because it was the first time in our history that we matched a desire to win with a belief that we could author ...

Dominated for much of the game but didn't put it on the scoreboard. Lots to like and lots to work on. Many positives.

"tear us a new one" Maybe SE was looking to post this opinion in The Pride Round thread Sorry...I like to shock and be crude at times  Speaking of Pride Round they want to introduce it for the rugbah league...I don't think Israel Folau would approve https://www.abc.net.au/news/20...

Great to see him do well in an important role. If Kelly gets off the chain, we would've been in trouble.
Before WC game, he was outside best 22, but just gets so much better with every game

Watch the replay, our Captain threw the towel in. I hope the media picks up on it. f****** rubbish. and beneath you champ. Actually, the opposite. Re: Positives
You make a really good point Crossy66, both Jordan Lewis going to Melbourne and Luke Hodge plus Grant Birchall to Brisbane have helped both those clubs to turn their fortunes around significantly. The lack of elite on-field leadership has been a major problem at St Kilda for a long time and has bee...
