I'm excited about the influence Wilkie, Goddard and Enright might have on Keeler's skill set.

Mckenzie is done poor bloke. He was finished with us the minute we swapped picks and drafted Garcia, who will be pushing for a game by 2025.

Re: Will Ross Continue to Play the Kids?
The OP has totally disregarded the availability of the players in his list of senior players and the ones who got dumped because they were basically useless. Three of them weren't available be ause they played for other sides. Very poorly framed question. I think it's called hogwash. Come on Benny ...

Even less important.
Cricket has been a farce for a very long time thanks to gambling and the South Africans, then we have the ball tampering.
I don't even watch it. I'll wait for the highlights. Surely there was no interest in Australia flogging the West Indies.

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
It's all well and good to speculate down that path, until you hear the words "professional standards". Either way, all players (and people, life in general) have adversity whether it's self inflicted or not. What matters is how you respond. Second chances are important, but you have to us...

Re: Training Reports
I think the see ball, get ball, kick ball days of Richo and Ratten are over. It's clear our game will be designed to go back and sideways to booming accurate kicks. Jones gives us mongrel that doesn't exist without him. He just needs the support fr9m the right players around him. We have some very c...

Re: Training Reports
Jones would be a fantastic decoy at stoppages for Steele and Wilson, who will be getting pressured near by. Marshall is also very good at killing throw ins and clearing paths in stoppage. If it comes together we will go from a defensive stance at stoppage to a very attacking and dangerous combo. The...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
Richo sent Pierce and Alabakis to Frankston back when we had 5 ruckmen. Both were young and inexperienced. In 2012 Ross Lyon sent a chubby Sonny Walters to the WAFL after he turned up out of shape for pre-season. Phil Cleary makes statement's on behalf of clubs now does he. Phil is a cracker, he doe...

Re: Who will debut early?
Interested to see McLennan and where he fits in, what kind of players would he match up well on? If I recall he's only 188cm. From what I have seen, he is similarly versatile to Geary 184cm, and Paton 186cm. McLennan could match up on Membrey 188, Breust 189, Phillipou 191 or Rachele 179. He attack...

Re: Who will debut early?
At 65kg, it would be throwing Collard to the wolves. I doubt he'll play unless he gets over 70 kg. Wilson is the best chance because of his elite endurance, which is a perfect fit for Ross Lyon's demanding running game. The only other one I'd give an outside chance to is Hotton, but I'd say he's a ...

Re: Simon Lethlean finished at St. Kilda effective immediately?
Matt Hannerbery and Lethlean's careers at Old Xaverians didn't cross.
Grant Thomas coached Matt though and interstingly Matt took over from Thommo.
Who then went to chairman of selectors at North before coming home to the Saints.
Another Caro myth.

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
He's a cross between Trent McKenzie and James Sicily but he is taller than both of them...I'd play him as a defender (where he's cut his teeth and played his best in u18). https://www.espn.com.au/afl/story/_/id/38783384/afl-draft-tasmania-arie-schoenmaker-first-round-calculations-difficult-year htt...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
He was not known for his leg speed in U18 football. Perhaps timing and peripheral awareness would be a better use of words. Clearly, he is able to get around the play and take hand off and uncontested possession, and kicks the ball very well in full flight being chased down. At 194cm and 90kg, he m...

Re: Arie Schoenmaker’s club punishment
I think he has been given an opportunity to do extra's and get a shot. Punishment is not on Lyons list of strategies. He will just wipe you. Zac Dawson was given similar opportunities and did the work, focussed on his defence and was given a shot in his second season with the club. This kid was top ...

Re: “Get up, get up. We don’t f***ing do that here”
You don't have to get faster, you just have to get fitter. We don't do that here is a statement about expectations on effort and composure. We have lacked both for a while. The effort has been obvious and was there, but the composure has been lacking poorly. If you give into it on the track, it will...

Re: Calling Saints Mega Fans - Trivia Competition at hand
Thank you so much for sharing CQ. I enjoyed the history with a bit of sadness that it went down the way it did I think his kids were quite happy with the outcome and he moved down to Flinders and lived his life out there mate. Progress waits for no one. My cousins are still living in the area today.
