Re: possible trade bait
What about Acres? I think he is slightly over rated or not living up to potential. So many times he does great things and then something stupid that costs a goal. I think that if we got some value for him we should think about it

Re: Successful Season?
We have gone backwards this year. Skills are shocking. Very disappointing season. Could not agree more. Our hand balling is overused, sloppy and usually to where a players is, not where he is running to so the play slows down or to a player about to get tackled or to a guy one meter next to him who...

Re: Who Do You Want
Get a defender like Jarrod Brander or Aaron Naughton and outside mid like Lachie O'Brien or Nick Coffield. If we lose either brown or Carlisle we are in trouble. Gilbo is getting on a bit and injury prone of recent, Hugh Goodard is not good (yet). He is slow and has a turning circle of a bus so who ...

Re: Hypothetical trades
I doubt we will get Kelly or Martin. Both will most likely stay just like Fyfe. I would like to get either but realistically it wont happen so lets get behind our draft team and hope we pick wisely. I would use both picks in the draft and get a defender like Jarrod Brander or Aaron Naughton and outs...

Re: 35 is the new 26
He has looked classed from his first appearance in the 2015 pre-season. Certainly a bonus we picked up from drafting Billings who I believe recommended him to the club. He should have played every game this year when several others of lesser talent were being selected. We might even be in the top e...

Re: Saints look to lock in Paddy
DJ, have you watched Paddy play footy? He has shown plenty. Not sure who we could get as good as him for the price we are hopefully paying. His problem isn't ability, it is him staying on the park. Hopefully this indicates the medicos think he is fine and he can get a good run of games going. He wi...

Our club is not smart. The club 'philosophy' is based on 'positive thinking' like that book the secret. They think if you 'imagine' some positive outcome that that makes it come true. Just saying 'he is going to be a gun' over and over won't make it true. I'm just going to start imaging myself on m...

Re: St Kilda set to hand coach Alan Richardson contract exte
I am not overly happy with this. Too early to make this call. Our skills are sub par, we don't have a plan b regarding our game plan, our kicking at goal in one of the worst in the league, many players seem to have gone backwards and I could go on. Wait until mid next year as it will give him one mo...

Re: We enter 2018 without one champion player.
Never thought about it like this before. But interestingly, our only current player who really looks like a potential 'champion' is Paddy. If only we could get him on the park! I am still unsure why people rate Paddy so highly? Forget his draft pick number as that is meaningless now. What has he do...

Billy cost us the game?
we kicked 2.12 at one stage. Terrible kicking, inaccuracy, poor decisions and the lack of a genuine goal sneak cost us the game. Billy cost us a goal.

cant kick to save ourselves in front of goal. SHould have won this game and easily. Carlisle is amazing and keep us in the game so some positives but so sick of our accuracy. It is just depressing to watch. 2.12 again.

Re: observations from tonight
Lets give credit to the Swans first, they are the form team at the moment and they were slick thru the midfield and moved the ball with such ease it was great to watch from a footy fan point of view. Our problems seem to be kicking the ball near the target not to the target. How many times did you n...

Re: Membrey replacement ?
Acres will come back in as it is not the best game to blood a new guy as it is too crucial. Acres back in and Roo plays more forward to kick goals. A bit annoyed at Webster and Skunk for brain fades when we need them the most

Re: Match Thread Saints v Tigers Round 16 2017
Just got back from the game and my initial thought was where was Steele? He was really quiet tonight. Why? Because everyone lifted and we were attacking not defending and we were awesome. No faults tonight. Only praise. Well done guys. so Very proud

Re: Changes v Tigers
Mav has to be rested. Freeman won't play this year as they want him to keep getting better in VFL so he can kill it next year after another pre season. Paddy should stay in the VFL so he can get his confidence up and start getting better and get fitter.

Re: Match Thread Saints v GC Suns Round 14 2017
I was at the game and don't get overly excited by the win. Our kicking was terrible. Worse than what you think. A good team would have killed us due to our inaccuracy. Longer is crap and not good crap. In fact when he kicked the ball the crowd cheered in sarcasm. Enough said. Weller was crap, Acres ...

Re: Paddy Concussed
Hind sight is 20/20 and I have no problem with picking Paddy even though it has not worked. We needed to fill our forward line pronto with Roo coming to the end of his career and no other star forwards up front. Dont kid yourself that Bruce or Membry are going to be great. They are good and that is ...

Re: Is it all doom and gloom?
No one expected us to win against a flag favourite at their venue. A venue where we have never won. However no one expected our insipid performance. It was one dimensional garbage. Richo has no plan b, long bombs to our forwards and hope like hell they mark it. Idiotic. Out backs got injured so fair...

Re: Paddy / Fevola
Sorry guys Paddy has shown very little. I want him to be good but I don't see it yet. Two dropped mark, very little impact, he moved up the ground to help out at points yesterday which inflated his stats but over all a bit disappointed. I would leave him in the vfl for two months as he simply isn't ...

Re: where this team currently sits
I was at the game to today and it was just plain bad today. For the love of god can someone kick at the goal. Hand ball after handball in front of the sticks rather than a shot. Geary was bad again today, I don't care that he is our captain, he isn't great. Carlisle is great at defending until he ki...
