Re: Resign Richo - it’s the circuit breaker we all need
We are not going to do anything. The AFL is in charge of our club and they say Richo and the board stay.

Re: Brown
Brown is an experienced big body. That is it. He also is a sensational bbq master with the steaks....I only looked and he knew I wanted it bloody. But hes done and he himself is amazed hes getting selected ahead of s few of the lads...but he knows it's only those 2 things - body and experience. Grea...

Re: Match Thread Saints v Swans Round 12 2018
can it get sadder than this ? we are %^$#$#ed the swans have just shown the rest of the league how inept we are, Richo really needs to put his hand up after this game , hey I can't do this and I'm willing to move aside to allow change. watching the ball move so freely for the swans with no pressure...

Re: Goddard
Honestly I dont know where anyone was sitting watching Hugh play...he has always presented slow, sluggishly chasing forwards. His injuries didnt make him slow he always was in every game. I have watched 2 games in the past month of his AFL efforts on video and he was not impressive.

Re: This can be the difference a new coach makes
This is what we are reduced to....pecking feverishly over a loss and rejoicing we have morsels that prove all is not lost, we are spot on, we fought so well, got cheated by umps, if only we had another quarter ( we F@cking did...we had 3 of them), there's so much hope now, only positives from here ...

Re: Moral Victory - Proud of the boys tonight - Respect!
Lol so it’s come to this? We’re going down the well done “proud of you boys good effort” route? After being 1-10? And playing some of the worst football seen in recent times ??? Yeah,ok then. No - No-one is happy we lost! But were you happier at the end of the third or the fourth considering that i...

Re: We're on Track
Paddy in the seconds wouldn't help IMO, isn't he way too good for VFL standard. Isn't the best outcome for his fitness and development to play out the whole year without interruption, and hopefully with Bruce and Members along side him. If that happens I recon we will see some cause for optimism to...

Re: We're on Track
Good post. Fortunes can turn quickly at footy clubs in the space of a couple seasons. I currently think the Saints don't have a bottom 4 list at all. The season has gone to s*** and its not good enough, but the club has to re-align its expectations and where we are really at. It is happening right ...

Back again
I reckon it is time for Bruce to go back into defense. He's a decent mark, has a decent kick and speed. He's already skilled as a defender and can certainly close, he can jump and crash packs and bring ball ground. We have lost Carlisle for 2-3 weeks. Logan needs a senior player to direct him back t...

Ruck Situation
It seems to me Hickey is gaining confidence and has been slowly improving in both hit outs and tap to advantage at clearances. I have never been a huge fan. I think giving up our best ruck in 20 years was moronic but we are here now. Lewis and Billy - we need to trade if we can get anything. Marshal...

Re: Selfie with Joffa ???
Does anyone know who that Saint supporter was that took a selfie with that neanderthal Corfe ? I am still cringing. Aren't things embarrassing enough ???? “That Saint supporter” is an example to ALL of us in how to conduct ourselves as “supporters”. Good on him! Certainly better than throwing punch...

Re: Saints and China
Its actually comical....the OP just wants to know how we feel about potentially having a game in China where we make some big money. Yes, we need cash, yes we will sacrifice a home game or anything you want...Hell no! The AFL would never further damage Chinese interest by sending out putrid team to...

Re: Saints and China
Been there, shithole with all the pollution and the Chinese don't really like us. Reckon we are American puppets. Oh and you need to battle temperatures in the high 30s this time of the year. I wouldn't do anything to empower and enrich Port and that's exactly what you would be doing The power actu...

Draft Dreaming
Recently I flew in for a "lunch" where I partook in my annual fleecing to gird up a local club I fancy for no known reason... they asked had I seen the Twin Towers ....so I watched footage... So now the dream.... it goes like this.... Somehow, and I mean 1 out of a million, we get 1st and ...

His speed seems a tad off, watch him running last season and then the last few games he seems to have a slight limp or change in his gait....is he carrying?Bruce G McAbee wrote: ↑Sun 20 May 2018 5:56pm I've been advocating for Gresh to go into the middle, he actually adds a different dimension to our one dimensional midfield.

Re: No new newnes?
No apologies either. So what do you think Saynta? Give some feedback...did dead man walking ( If I say it enough it will happen) Coach Richo actually make a brilliant move? Is there value in Newnes at forward and never ever put him else where to flounder again? Or was this a fluke due to a discombo...

No new newnes?
Surprised there wasn't a discussion about Newnes. He gets put in the forward line and Gresh slots into more mid....the result was very surprising. Noting the lack of any significant forward on the night yet the opportunity to kick 6 or 7 goals does not come often for a "forward" his size. ...

Re: Coup time
The coach of the VFL team is on a hiding to nothing. Until we have total control over that team and the top up players are just that, then we are doomed. Sandringham are an entity in their own right. We need to take over that team entirely or do it to Frankston as a merge or die option. Until we ha...
