Re: VFLW Prelim Final thread
Well done to Peta Searle and the girls for getting this far in the competition. Playing finals is an achievement, something, dare I say it, the boys haven’t been able to do for a while.

Re: New Sandringham Coach
The mystery continues as to why White wasn’t given a go this year. I see he shared the B&F with Seccull. The coaches obviously liked his body of work for the year

New Sandringham Coach
Has anybody heard any more about the report that Ben McGlynn is taking over as Sandy coach next year whilst Hamill is taking on a bigger role at Moorabbin?

Lovett Murray was on the ground at training at Moorabbin for a good part of this year. Helped out generally but seemed to be there to support the indigenous players.

Delistings
Will we have our first delistings by this time next week? Mad Monday, player interviews Tue and Wed. Who will be first to go? Longer? Rice? Obviously some will be held over to use as trade bait.

Hanners was out on the track doing light training with a small group. Stuv made a brief appearance but then disappeared inside.

Was out on the ground at training today, stationery handball drills. Didn't appear to be limping and no strapping

Hasn't been sighted at training sessions for months now. I think he mentally checked out a while ago.Ghost Like wrote: ↑Tue 30 Jul 2019 4:20pm Perhaps I'm misreading (between the lines) or that last sentence is poorly worded. That could be misconstrued as Billy has already left the building, not to return.

He said hello to me one day as he kept everything in order at training, does that count? Honestly I have no idea what he actually does at the club, just walks around looking busy.

You forget the Chair of the committee is our Pres. Very astute businessman from the recruitment industry. Doesn't give the impression he would let a boys club sway him.

Re: Sandringham v Footscray
Stuv going well, a class above. Very lively but a bit rusty and got caught a few times. The standard of his general play is being affected by the quality of players around him, particularly the non Saints players. Very impressed with Mayo, a good size, athletic and looking more comfortable at this l...

Re: Dean Kent injured at training
Not a Kent fan at all, the guy is not a consistent AFL standard player in my opinion and I believe he should have been dropped for the Melbourne game as there were players like Hind, Young & Long in the twos who could have replaced him. Whilst he had an absolute shocker against Brisbane he has ...

Re: Breaking News from Shanghai: Not good news
Sick of reading the suggestions that our club has been negligent in this issue. If you read the article in yesterdays Herald Sun you will see the meticulous planning that our dietician did in planning what food we would take and where and what the team should eat once over there. She even collaborat...

Possibly to part ways with North as soon as this weekend. Tom Browne suggested we might be interested. Why would we want him. After 10 years as coach of the Roos has he been successful? I think not.

Just an observation. Every time I see him at training he is messing around annoying other players etc, maybe it's a maturity thing. I should add he also does some good things which indicate he has some talent

Re: Barrett, always the saints hater.
Purple recently went head to head with our Pres in a 25 minute interview on a range of issues (see AFL.com).Be interesting to see who initiated the interview and whether the Purple one changes his attitude towards us. The Pres certainly doesn't suffer fools gladly. The Pres is an impressive individu...

The FOXTEL telecast: 1. The Demons Mutual Admiration Society consisting of Lyon and Roos, with new recruits McGuire and Russell, absolutely fawning over the Dees in the early part of the game. 2. The interview with Jack Viney coming off the ground at 1/2 was a shocker. Stumbled over his words and sa...

Training 28/3
Couple of nice things at training today: * Guard of honor for Max King as he joined the training group for first time. Skipper had rigged up a makeshift banner. Cheers for Max when he did something well. * Hanners running on his own and Lade went and joined him for about 10 mins. * Carlisle welcomed...

Re: Sandringham
I did and concur with Bernard Shakey's comments above. I would add Ricey was lively on the forward line, like the look of Langlands, he cracks in, Marshall rucked, roved and got possessions
around the ground all day.
