Re: Do we Do Goey?????
Struggling, Con. Injuries and attitude. Thank goodness they refused to trade him to us. Elshaug was extremely keen on him. Happy to give up an early pick for him. Looks like we dodged a bullet there.

A gem who escaped the recruiters of all 18 clubs. Says a lot about them. If the draft was held today he'd be a certainty for a pick in the first two rounds. There are more Jack Sinclairs out there. It's the next thing in recruiting. Find the gems that were missed. Not necessarily mature agers, but 2...

I wish. That guy/girl could write really well. You flatter me. No wonder you are intrigued and a little obsessed about Drake. Pure envy. Don't worry, I'm in the same boat as you.parkeysainter wrote:Drake?

Drake? Drake=St.Paul????? I don't know what you are on about, but judging by your other posts, I assume you are a troll who constantly baits other posters. This is the third time you've tried this. I'll save you some trouble and save you a ban for baiting and trolling by informing you as a rule, I ...

Re: Carlisle free kick
Irrelevant irony - how many goals were lost because Nick had countless passes to him at perfect yorker length. Now he has retired the passes are too high. Mercy. Rooey retired with the longest, most flexible hamstrings in the competition. Now we need someone with Inspector Gadget arms. One extreme ...

Stuart Annand, saynta? Another father son pick that didn't work out. I think Stuart spent a couple of years on the list without playing a senior game. I think Ben Stewart, Ian's son, was around at the same time. Compare our father son's to Geelong. At least our women's team might be good if they bri...

Re: The great Saints Conspiracy
Of course I would've TD. I bet you pennies to pounds, if the teams were reversed, the result would've stood. We would've bleated until the cows came home, but ultimately the rules are rules. It's no different to an umpire missing an obvious free kick in the dying stages of a game (Schneider, 2009, ...

Play him on the wing/midfield, or even as the distributor, Goddard style off halfback. We need that type desperately. He's an excellent field kick, the best tested in his draft. He's shown enough in his career to suggest he's potential A grade material. Let him loose across half back, AR! Pretty ha...

There's no one in this St Kilda team that on the way to the game I say, "I can't wait to watch 'so and so' play". The anticipation before a match when you knew Plugger was in the team was the polar opposite. Plus one about Plugger, prw. I even had opposition supporter mates who'd come to ...

Re: The great Saints Conspiracy
What about the fiasco in Launceston with the "Docker Draw?" The AFL basically overthrew its own rule to award the points to Fremantle. It still rankles me to this day, as it meant the difference between finishing fourth and finishing sixth that year. Can you imagine what would've happened ...

Coffield. If only we had another two of him. This is one the coach got right. Expressed his admiration for the boy last year. Went to watch him a few times, did AR. I wouldn't go so far as to suggest he insisted on his selection at the draft, but he insisted on his selection at the draft. Bravo!

A "little elbow". What on earth is that? The most dangerous act in the game. Maybe he didn't connect too well, but it was enough to make a 200cm, 105 kg man wobble at the knees. Elbowing is a dog act and should be punished with suspension, even if it is only an attempt.

But well done to Richo for actually listening! Some coaches would bury their head in the sand to protect their ego Well done Richo. Good leaders listen to their men, good leaders aren't authoritarian. I have worked at lots of different places that had one thing in common. They all said 'we value yo...

I think you're right about the taxing nature of the game style, silverhalo. I think it's what had us cooked in the last 7 games of last year. Younger bodies just couldn't keep it up for a whole season. Let's hope that a year on, we're better equipped to deal with the "mania" the style requ...

Members looked underdone. He will be better for the run. Looked as though he had more cobwebs than a haunted house. I still think there's room for him and Battle.

We need to back it up next week and the next Definitely this! They need to back it up or else we're back to square one. That effort today, as magnificent as it was will have taken plenty out of the players. I hope they can reproduce the effort, because they gave everything they had. I've never seen...

Has been giving money to Carlscum for years. Must be for his business mates for an advantage, rather than any long lost attachment to the saints. It's a pity. He would be the perfect benefactor behind the scenes, but I'm informed he hasn't contributed anything to us in decades.

Was clearly moved aside for Lethlean. I have a family member who deals with him in his current role And can not speak highly enough of him and what he does. That's what I suspect as well, Junior. Up until half way through last year he seemed to be doing ok, if not setting the world on fire. In thei...
