Re: It's official......Paddy will make it

I've probably been Paddy McCartin's biggest knocker over the past couple of years but for me the best thing to come out of yesterday's game was Paddy's performance and the potential upside to his game. Let's face it, he's been overweight the whole time he's been at the club, but now he's trimmed do...

Re: Hannebery on reduced workload following hamstring setback

A couple more sore points, when investing picks 1 and 4 in a brutal competition like the AFL you don't risk it on supposed athletes with diabetes and someone who has already done his ACL. Moorabbin is a circus. And it hurts me to say this but it's true.

Same idiocy of giving long contracts to injury riddled players better resourced clubs couldn't fix!

Flame away!
And you know what makes it worse? When they finally got Freeman right they delisted him. The Saints are the laughingstock of the AFL.

Stupid and incompetent trout for picking him. If I am investing pick 1 I am not using it on an a player that has diabetes. Just like if I'm investing pick 4 I am not using it on a player who has already done a knee.

Re: Big news for the Saints

Ok, l'l'll spill the beans. From 2020 we will not only play Port in China every year but we will also be playing 2 home games in NZ as well. And it will be in Auckland on a fully reconfigured playing surface the size of the MCG. Horrendous. Why Horrendous bigred? If you had a debt of $12Million and...

Re: Paddy - now or never!

St kilda will never move forward while Paddy is in the team. If he didn't have diabetes and if he didn't have concussion issues and if he was faster and if he was slimmer and if he was more accurate set shot and more mobile he would definitely make it as our spearhead for the next 10 years

I would give Sam Alambakis first crack. He just smashed his 3km PB by more than a minute.

So when you hear it, remember you got the inside word here first.

I can vouch for skeptic. I heard the exact same stuff. It's massive news.

Re: Hannebury Hurts Sometimes.....

I would have thought that no player is 'picked up' by another club without a full medical examination being done, so nobody would have just 'relied on our judgement'. BUT the fact that no other Club picked up Freeman confirms St Kilda's assessment of him - they all must think there are better optio...

Re: the view from the bridge

With the retirements of Joey and Rooey, 2018 was the year we had to have. It has shown the players that they need to step up to the plate otherwise it will all fall apart. Watch for a huge step up in 2019 (from a performance and leadership perspective) from Billings, Newnes, Membrey, Sinclair, Rice....

Re: Hannebury Hurts Sometimes.....

I'd feel more comfortable writing Freeman off if we'd actually given him more of a chance to prove himself, but as is Richo's way, he loves to make a scapegoat of the young and inexperienced players whenever we are belted meanwhile backing his ordinary plodding GOPS. Freemans first game from 80% ga...

Listen here pal, if you have nothing of value to post then P155 off. Our club is in dire financial trouble and you don't even realize. What is this Kim Wilde crap going to achieve other than inflaming this post?

Re: Hannebury Hurts Sometimes.....

I believe the delisting of Freeman is an incredibly stupid decision. He actually performed reasonably well in his first game and nailed a goal from around 35 metres from his first set shot as a mid. Then inexplicably he only received 55% of game time in his second game and then was dropped by Mr Kr...

The afl will always underwrite Stkilda and prop them up. They need us because of the tv rights deal. They also need a vic club to travel to all the interstate clubs every year. They also know that we wont bite the hand that feeds them so we just cop it. As a business we will always be the minnow cl...

According to Champion Data. WHAT CHAMPION DATA SAYS: The Saints have the equal fewest players under the age of 21, but have the most players between the age of 21-24. This group ranks seventh for quality, which should excite fans. It’s led by Jade Gresham, who is the club’s only elite player. And t...
