Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
And, as stated early in the thread, was named in the best on many media outlets, including best player for Swans on Fox Sports. So it pays to check facts properly . I challenge you to watch the game and then comment further. I watched the game and Hannebery was atrocious. He missed tackles, he miss...

Re: What are the qualities of our coaching that people rate and respect?
I can confirm he is widely respected. Regarded as a good coach but does get things wrong. Who's perfect. The worst performed coach in the history of the AFL still coaching because his contract was extended when it clearly should not have been. He is now going into his sixth season as "coach&qu...

Re: Saints team for round one
No Clark and Marshal makes no sense to me at all. How does Dunstan get picked and Clark doesn't. Richo starting early with strange selections. Agree 100%. Both are future stars. Both proved themselves pre-season. Marshall over wilke is a serious lack of strategic planning. Pierce gets injured and g...

Are you saying it's all a storm in a tea cup ?tedtheodorelogan2018 wrote: ↑Sat 23 Mar 2019 12:55pm No, I'm not that concerned. If Dan needs time to get his body right then give it to him. He needs to get the load back into his body. Forget he was a biggish recruit for a second, we would do the same for any player. It's a long term strategy.

Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
Apart from the dubious decision to recruit Hannebery in the first place, Richardson’s comments demonstrate that not too much has changed with him either. “He has to be re-built”......are you serious? What planet is this guy on if he thinks a 28 year old with chronic hamstring issues can be re-built...

Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
I’m not against the Hannebery recruitment. I was dead against giving up a high pick for an aged player on the decline, but thought we paid correct odds. We have to pay (95%?) salary cap so it’s worth the punt for the next two years, not overly keen beyond that period. Let’s run the course and see h...

Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
Sydney clearly saw the writing on the wall and offloaded a cooked player taking up salary cap space to the first (and only) fool that came along. Except Dan was their best player last year in the finals. IMO very naive to think a team is happy to offload their best finals player and in their leader...

Re: A Letter To Dan Hannebery
Putting it in a single post would suffice. ST KILDA concedes it didn't know the full extent of prized recruit Dan Hannebery's struggles with his body when it traded for him. You and I are opposite. It failed with Freeman. This year we have taken more punts with King, Dan and Bytel. It is a longer-t...

Re: Clark & Marshall miss yet Lonie gets a gig...
Lonie tries hard, but Clark is already skilful, talented, hard-working, and has so much more to offer than Lonie. Lonie's role can be covered by the combo of Kent, Parker, Gresh...so can't imagine why Lonie gets a gig. Clark can support in the middle, and will perform better than Dunstan anyway Exa...

Re: A Letter To Dan Hannebery
When the club is contacting members, asking, nay begging for player sponsors, begging for an extra donation to assist with the $12mil debt... And then they go and spend overs on a former AA player in the twilight of his career, not someone that is still in his prime; his star is burning out. The co...

Re: Richo on SEN this morning
From AFL.com "Richardson believes St Kilda is on the right path to fixing Hannebery's body. "Our guys are really confident now, that they've spent enough time with Dan and learnt from how he's responded or how he hasn't responded to whatever we've thrown at him," Richardson said. &qu...

Re: Hannebery unlikely to play AFL in first month of season
Hypothetically if he is unable to play this year can we terminate the contract without much financial impact? . Surely there has to be some clause to say you have to play at least a certain amount of games to get paid Hannebery won’t be available until Round 4 at the nearest that’s the latest from ...
