Yep worth a shot, wouldn't cost much and remember we were all in on De Goey for a bucket load more cash and similar behavioural traits.

Re: Welcome Mattaes Phillipou
Yeah, I thought he spoke well despite previous interviews making him look a bit full of himself. Sounded stoked to get to Victoria. I don't mind a bit of arrogance on the footy field as long as they can back it up. Petracca was thought to be full of himself at the time.

Totally agree, until recently I thought he was worth listening to, but he seems to only convey one side of the argument rather than a balanced view. Regarding the payout to Ratts and our debt, I think the Lyon signing, followed by the Harves, Hayes, Goddard, Misson inclusions have been the most exci...

I worry that Ross will promote 'role players' from the Zebs, and ignore NWM+Owens. He's done it before, Jack Steven said Scott Watters spoke to him more times in 3 months than Tosser had ever spoken to him in the entire time he'd been therr Nick Riewoldt called that perception out as utter BS Said ...

I like it. Sounds like there may be a few blokes needing to put their big boy pants on. Selection integrity perhaps?

Wow, he's aged about 30 years in the last 10. Poor bloke, that's how us supporters have aged as well.

We can pick him up with our first rounder but can only match for NGA players if they're bid on outside of the top 40. Last year was the top 20 so effectively we got a bonus being able to pick up Owens if you compare the rules with this year. We would have been able to bid on Windhager though.

4 seasons in and the women haven't progressed at all. The whole comp has progressed, some faster than others. They've expanded rapidly and the talent has been spread thinly as a result. It will step up in the next few years as the young ones come through. Hard to watch at times though for now.

Just saw this, excuse my post in other thread. I would imagine we'd have spots after a few retirements/delistings, not sure why we wouldn't look at both of them knowing players develop differently and clearly were rated highly for a reason.

My Carlton mates rate Stocker, would be worth a look I think. They were disappointed when he got delisted. Possibly better midfield option if Bytel leaves? They must have seen something in him to go all out. Would come cheap.

Geelong are very smart with their sales pitch and recruiting. Matt Rendell was saying on Trade Radio the other day that only 4 out of their current list are city boys. They have purposely gone for the country lads and sold the dream of being away from the big city, here's a farm, here's the surf et...

Re: 300k a year should be a top end wage for a top end footballer .
The players just recently secured the AFL a $4.5 Billion deal, that's with a B. Why shouldn't the guys (and girls now) that put their bodies on the line get a good share of that? 300K is not 'amazing' if your working life is at best 10 years long.

Not sure. Appearance can also exude an "I'll do it my way; I care less what the outside world thinks". You know those people - over weight, not pretty, yet remarkable confidence - and then the fact that they can be that confident despite not looking flash takes things to another level. Wh...

If the sticking point with the Pies contract is the behaviour clause, then he probably thinks he's going to be troublesome (a knob) again. Red Flag right there.

Saints interested in Bowes and pick 7 according to zerohanger. https://www.zerohanger.com/suns-make-mouth-watering-player-and-pick-package-available-for-rival-clubs-afl-trade-news-127942/ I don't mind this if it doesn't screw another big trade we may be thinking of in the next two years. It’s a farce at AFL level that doesn’t pay its way and is propped up by money from the (AFL) TV rights. Apart from girls who want to play footy, and their families, the Saintsational support type group is exactly who the AFLW would want to appeal to - rusted on club supporters who will support a gr...

Yeah saw that this morning, hopefully just rumour of clubs being interested in him. Of course they do. Would be just very STK to see him do a preseason at another club and come out looking buffed up like Jaeger O'Meara.
