Re: Sack Lyon
I mean if you constantly fumble and drop marks any gameplan disintegrates, you can't score and cannot possibly win.
The fact that we are just losing and not getting smashed, might have something to do with our system, particularly defensively, being ok.

Re: Sack Lyon
There's one if two possibilities. 1) the game has passed Lyon and his game plan doesn't work anymore. Or (2) Lyon's game plan is good but our players are too stupid to be able to follow it. The answer is mainly no. 2 and that some of our players simply aren't good enough. Our game against Collingwo...

Put a fork in him, hes done. Taken a middle team and turned them into a bottom 4 side that cant score. For reference Geelong without a bunch of their best players go to Darwin, get flogged by 60+ points and still manage to kick 100 themselves. At least their supporters have some goals to cheer. We ...

It isn't actually his Player Manager, it was his Endorsements Manager. He has 2 managers who fulfill different functions. This is not the Manager who negotiated his contract.

Re: RTB's Presser
The problem Lyon has - and I’m a fan is he’s wrong to say “it’s a quick fix” That’s nice to say but not true He doesn’t have players with the smarts in decision making to go fast He doesn’t have the players who are “clean” one touch ball users - ours fumble, drop chest marks, overrun the ball or si...

You cannot fumble, slip and drop marks as much as we did, not to mention the idiot decision making and expect to beat anyone.

Re: RTB's Presser
For me, the worst thing about most of his pressers but especially today, was just how flippant he is. He was totally unprofessional, at one point says ""s*** happens." I don't care how tough or ruthless he may be behind closed doors, when he fronts up to the public, I would like to s...

Re: Tarryn Thomas, anyone?
I find it fascinating that the original question I asked - "why is the community exclusively focused on female victims of violence/homicide when across the community in total 70% of the victims of violence and homicide are male"? The focus is entirely on 30% of the victims and "we sh...

It was inspired stuff from Rossy. I'm sure it provided Wilson with a good shot of confidence. Anyone critical of his actions would have looked a bit "namby pamby"

Re: Higgins Alir incident
The AFL is F######. I love my football however increasingly getting so disillusioned by the game i.e umpiring rule changes and Gestapo running the game. How good were the good old days. AFL clearly have it in their sights which teams they want in finals. 28-8 free kicks last night absolute joke. Ca...

Re: Coming back
Hayes could be our 25th ‘best’ player But structure wise he’s critical He’s a better forward than Caminiti and a far better ruckman than Owens or Caminiti Caminiti has been woeful this season and was only given a pass for last year because of where he came from and we had no King or Membrey But the...

Re: Footy Fix: Ross Lyon is the AFL's most boring coach once again - and it's suffocating the Saints' season
The opposition coaches have worked Lyon's game out after one and a bit seasons. Similar in a way to 2011 where the strengths of the game plan of 2009/2010 were picked apart by the opposition. Yesterday's man I'm afraid as I feared when they appointed him as coach again. If opposition Coaches worked...

Re: Team v Port
I don't think we're going with 4 big defenders. I initially thought Howard (or Cordy) might play forward, until I realised Membrey, Sharman & Camminiti are all still in. Josh Battle had a huge part in our comeback against GWS when he went into the middle in the last quarter. We couldn't use him ...
