Re: Team vs Freo (Walyalup)
On Collard's selection ... he didn't have a great game v Box Hill but it was clear that we missed having a specialist small forward last week v Hawks ..... he is currently the only one we have available to pick Hopefully he doesn't start as the sub Lets hope the selection is not a 'token' in acknow...

Re: Chasing Weitering
Make sure we keep Battle and Windhager. Recruit another batch of decent kids. Then look for a couple of quality mids ..like Butters, Gulden or Tom Green .. hopefully around age 23-24 Then a couple of free agents to 'complete' the list so it's good for the next 4-5 years. Oh, we may also need a new c...

Re: Philipou’s Manager
Usually where there's smoke there's fire .. King and Owens have both been disappointing this season, and so has Philipou. Actually the whole squad has been quite disappointing, some may suggest lacking passion and positive energy. Some supporters, like me, are frustrated with our game style. It's qu...

Perhaps it just the name .. but I reckon Hunter Clark is built like former Carlton legend Ken Hunter.

Re: Ins and Outs
Hopefully Henry is back, probably at the expense of Hastie. I'd also like to give Shoemaker a game in his home state, possibly at the expense of Cordy. Philipou is an interesting one, I was at the game against North and he seemed to be running good patterns, he wasn't really beaten badly in one-on-o...

Re: win banked and move on
The question of forward craft warrants discussion. It was encouraging to see Jack Hayes actually lead toward the ball carrier on a few occasions. This has been lacking, by most, possibly with the exception of Jack Higgins. Max King rarely leads, but rather presents himself as a contested marking opt...

Re: Forward coach under pressure .
Agree that something needs to change, but I'm not sure it's just the forward coach. Our forwards don't mark on the lead, mostly because they don't lead. And the main reason they don't lead is because they're up at the wrong end of the ground. And the reason they're at the wrong end of the ground is ...

Looks like King is out and Zac is in.
Dogs will be without Liberatore and Ugle-Hagen.

Even Toby himself was surprised, assumed he'd get a week.CURLY wrote: ↑Wed 17 Apr 2024 4:08pmbulls***. Head hit the ground and arms pinned.Life Long Saint wrote: ↑Wed 17 Apr 2024 3:51pmComplete excrement!
Greene's tackle on Andrew looked like slow motion. Absolutely nothing in it...Barely a free kick.

Re: Could we get a selection surprise this week?
The surprise I'd like is a revamp of the forwardline. Pick a smaller brigade (drop both Membrey and Sharman) with pace. Butler out for lack of impact. The tall forwards aren't taking advantage of the height difference in the matchups it creates, so try something else. Out: Butler, Sharman, Membrey ...

Re: Saints once again under appreciated by the media
Is it just me, or did the media heap praise on "The battling, undermanned, Tigers", while conveniently ignoring our lengthy list of unavailable players? This is a hangover from last year, when our amazing performances were rarely, if ever, attributed to the ability of our underrated list....

Thought Collard was too small and immature to be selected, but we picked him anyway.
So lets get on a roll, and give Keeler a crack as well. He just might be a unicorn.

Re: Changes for tge Richmond at Gather Round.
I'd seriously consider brining in Schoenmaker for Bonner. Garcia for Windhager seems obvious, but might not happen. I'd bring back King for Sharman. Caminiti just seeks to offer a little bit more in terms of physicality and tackling ability. I'd give Wilson another go. I certainly wouldn't drop him...

Was similar to Plugger and Caven for me. Ran back blindly and ran into a guy leading. Will go to grave saying Plugger did nothing wrong. Wright just seemed to brace when he saw the Shitney guy was in his path Mine is a subtle variation of the Plugger incident. Plugger was at his unstoppable best at...

Re: AFL Dont have a drug issue....
Politics definitely. The AFL is effectively 'bullying' the Tasmanian government to spend $squilions of taxpayer money on a new stadium with a roof. The AFL projects itself as a high level community leader, and is self appointed spokesman for a wide range of community issues. It's important for the A...
