Certainly in the top 5 Stinger..he was just getting to the point of becoming the elite player he is capable of being....I remember in the few weeks leading up to his injury, and in the context of his 2006 year, people were starting to acknowledge that he was a worthy #1 pick and was better than Well...

Quartermain would have been one of those kids at private school who sucked up to the teachers in order to made a prefect. He is an obsequious little troll.

Goddard and Gram into the midfield and it might turn around....Armitage too...all can kick goals from outside 50m, which is what we needed last night. If Geary can start to take over Gram's spot, and Maguire frees Sam Fisher to the rebounding half back position, we can get Goddard and Gram on opposi...

Gotta be joking about BJ being an enforcer....courageous yes, but it took 3 years before a tackle would stick let alone any tough stuff. Max is as tough as nails too, probably not an enforcer but hardness and unwavering courage are pretty intimidating to opponents. Gardiner cleaned up Bock I think t...

owts....it may be early days, but don't you reckon Gilbert is a walk up start in the back 6?, as is Goddard when fit...which pushes L.Fisher into a tagging role and up against Dempster, Blake and Baker for that role. Also, with the arrival of Schneider, I think Milne is under the most pressure of hi...

X is in the starting 18 when fit, one of the fastest and more skilful...no doubt about his worth when his body is right. The first 5 weeks without Baker will allow the fringe players to shore up a regular spot : Fiora vs Armo vs Geary vs Birss vs Raph vs L. Fisher vs Blake vs Dempster vs C.Gardiner ...

Agree with Karnak..need all the characters we can get...not that Sam was a real favourite, but he does add something to footy.

If the cancer is encapsulated he should have a good prognosis. If he's being getting regular checks than it shouldn't be too advanced.

Yep, Schneider was good, will be interesting to see how long he can run in the midfield. Very good evasive skills....Fraser, Roo and Kosi with Schneider and Milne crumbing could be a tricky fwd line. Blake took about 3 good hits and ran back into the hole a bunch of times...very gutsy. Jones was pre...

The little #6 for the black team was excellent....I think it was him who kicked a 60m torp for a goal wasn't it.... Kosi BOG marked everything, Armo OK, good tackler, but looked to be tiring quickly, Howard I'm sorry to say looked inept from what I saw Both Gardiners did well, Michael looked very at...

08 could be the year of the Clarke brothers....it would be the huge lift from the 2nd teir we need to threaten a premiership....they're capable if they can stay on the park.

If Fiora, Gilbert and Monty continue to improve we'll go a long way.

Sydney recruits

I asked a mate of mine who is a Sydney fanatic about our Sydney recruits and here is his take: "Schneider and Dempster (plus fitness guru, that is a worry), Schneider should replace what's his name in the pocket. He doesn't have much aerobic capacity, is more a burst player. Could take over for...
