Butterss coached Judd in under 14's and urged Thomas to take him BEFORE Ball, but Thomas wanted his love child first! What?!! The president getting involved in the draft because he coached a 13yo old kid!! You're kidding right? The president wasn't involved in the draft Johnny, just that he suggest...

Mc evoy gone would make us look a little short wouldn't it? Well maybe Cain Ackland could have come back. Ruckmen are not about instant effect they hit their straps at about 25 so he may just be a great recruit. You could say not developing our own rucks cost us under Thommo. Monky, Clarke that c**...

What about the mulitple decisions made that almost brought the club 2 Premierships: Nick Dal Santo at pick 13 approx Leigh Montagna pick 20-30 approx James Gwilt pick 70 approx Sam Fisher pick 40 approx ....and theres many more which could be named. No one mentions those much. But it's not as much ...

Honestly, we were the best team in 05 and in 09. It wasn't our list that cost us in those years. It was injuries in 05, and rotten luck in 09. The other years, an extra gun player or two may have made us the best team - but the best team doesn't always win it! It's really silly to look back at thing...

The PR chick the club hired is on fire!

Seriously, since that role was created/filled the difference in the club's approach to it's public perception has been amazing.

Kosi has to play. Anyone who ever doubted his importance to our structure and Roos game should watch last Fridays game again. Kosi would play in every teams starting 22 without doubt. The sooner Kosi is back in the better. I just don't think it matters who we have up there until we start getting it...

Kosi cops it a bit from the fans. But I believe he's actually a victim of how we bring the ball in.

Meaning, his form is a sympton not the cause.

Meaning, it must be bloody hard for a forward like him to have an influence when we bring the ball in the way we do.

I really don't think the forward line is the issue, as such. It's, as SainterK says, how it goes in there that is the issue. But I think someone in this thread has touched on what I believe the root of the problem to be - and that is that our forward line doesn't have the ability to play their role ...

A players output or stats don't accurately tell us their importance to the team in terms of their role though.

I reckon a supporter's view of the bottom 6 would be vastly different from our coach's.

Yeah, the timing is weird!

Although dare I say it'd be more difficult for the Cats to lose such an important guy so close to the season starting, than us gaining him.

At the risk of being unpopular, I don't think the jumper matters much these days. They've all been altered so much over the years anyway, that they're barely recognisable anyway! The only thing I'm keen on, is the fact that our club has the unique Fortius qou Fidelius crest. It's a meaningful club e...

Nixon was the predator, I believe. He prayed on an easy target. . I think you will find that Nixon was the easy target I wasn't there, so I don't know anything at all. But from what I do know of Nixon and those that have worked for him, in my opinion it was him chasing tail. I just think he underes...

Personally, if anyone is an asshole then I think they deserve whatever they get. If someone has treated this girl horribly, regardless if they're an AFL footballer, a sleazy player agent trying to get a root, or some guy in the street - everyone runs the risk of reaping what they sow. If players rap...

FFS - if one our players didn't get involved in the first place by getting involved with that psychopath, we wouldn't be the subject of these claims. Sam Fisher should be able to have a night out without ramifications but look, he knows that if he's out in the early hours, he's going to be a target...

Re: Improvement

The simple fact is that we have to improve in 2011 because everyone else in the competition will improve - and new tactics will evolve. There was another thread on this recently. It was a pretty good discussion actually. However I don't agree with the improvement thing neccessarily (as I said in th...

I reckon it hurts a guy to be forced to run until he vomits at training.

And I reckon it hurts them when they are forced and bullied into backing into packs.

I just hope he's being watched by someone! Plenty of guys let their ego get in the way when doing weight training, and for some reason become obsessed with how much they can bench. What you can end up with, is a dude with a barrel chest and legs that can't support it! Then they either get injured, ...

I was surprised when Hutchy said Rhys Stanley had just done his PB bench press of 135 kg ! That is a fair bench press and one I wouldn't have thought his frame would handle. Hopefully this gives him a new found strength in the body to body stuff as he has been brushed aside a bit up until now. It'l...
