Full list available - good luck or good management?
According to the Hun we have a full squad to pick from for Rd 10 - I debated not posting this because it means we'll almost certainly be decimated by injuries in coming weeks, but it seems quite incredible for this time of year and I was curious as to whether people are putting this down to great wo...

Re: The Member stood up as well
Gun player and his tattoo sleeves represent the duality of man, darkness and light. Every time he kicks a goal it's like a life lesson. Plus I love singing 'Insane in the Membrey' when he jags one (Cypress Hill anyone?)

1As I wrote earlier ... forget about this so called 'pride match' for round 20. This week let's bring back some 'fan' pride ... by playing 4 weeks of consistent football. Let's play with pride with wins against bottom teams Essendon and Freo - and Carlton. I can take a loss in Adelaide - but not an...

Re: Thank You, Michael Nettlefold!
Speaking as just another sorry toerag with a boring, simple life, I also love seeing Freo lose. Watching Ross Lyon squirm in the press conferences week after week warms my sad, childish heart. I don't think my position is particularly strange: he walked out on us; I don't forgive him. Let's face it...

Lost the first two games. Beat Collingwood in Round 3 Lost the next two. Beat Melbourne in Round 6 Finished on top with 15 wins. We're on track. You neglected to mention that we didn't just get over the Demons in round 6, 1997, we beat Melbourne by 15 goals that day - and that won't happen next wee...

Re: which teams will we pass on the ladder next year?
Not many. Will still be a rather difficult development year. We will (probably) have gaping holes in the back line if Fisher and Dempster give it away. Sure we have Goddard to come in, but if anything, we are still somewhat skinny for second and maybe third back man. Lee and who else....shudder. St...

Re: Is Dempster becoming a liability?
He's one of the most dangerous forwards in the comp, probably the hardest to match up on because of his versatility and explosiveness... He kicked 5 goals the week before and only 2 against us when the dogs dominated the midfield and had 58 i50's. I think if we had a player anywhere remotely better...

Yeah I was SuperDuperouzel or something similar in the late-'90s, I remember it was definitely last millennium because of the job I was working at... More a lurker than a poster though because I live up north these days and need SS to find out what's happening at the club, get put off at times by th...

I'm sure right now Dodoro and the rest of the Essendon hierachy are down the drinker pissing themselves laughing at pulling one over us...WinnersOnly wrote: Essendon have played this quite smart when you think about it, Dodoro must be laughing himself silly at the stupidity of clubs like ours.

Re: Carlisle ban?
I'm mystified at this thread. We recruited Carlisle to play for us for 7 years, not for 12 months. We went into this "eyes open", and everyone was aware of the possibility of suspension. We paid a price for Carlisle that was close to equivalent of what other clubs had offered - indicating...

That's really sad Faz was obviously a key part of the group. Hope he does well at North (ambivalent about the club though).

Hodge being replaced as leader probably has plenty to do with being caught DUI just before his finals campaign.

Re: Carlisle "scandal"
If only every "indiscretion" which took place on a footy trip found its way to ACA, the whole point is to get away and let your hair down. He did not even do anything illegal (which we know of) and smoking the weed in no way affects your footy (presuming it's not on match day) so it should...

I keep reading that we've offered Faz one year but he has better offers from elsewhere (by which I assume they mean 2 year contract). Does anyone else know who's shown interest in him? And his contract/free agency status?

Re: Bailey Rice Playing for Northern Blues
If you were any soon to be 18 year old, would you prefer to live in Frankston or Fitzroy? Would you prefer to be walking distance from the city on a Friday night or a 15 minute drive from the 21st Century? It's a no brainer from that point of view. Does 21st Century Dance Club still have the revolv...

I'm coming down from Brisbane to see Maddy's Game, wouldn't miss it. Hope Roo gets up, would be a shame otherwise. Even so it won't diminish Sunday's importance though, cannot wait.

He was great today for all 4 quarters. He is not far off the best midfielders now. My old man reckons he has a bit of Greg Burns in him for those that remember! Yeah definitely a similarity with their attack on the ball, and even the way they wheel out onto left from packs. Both have a lot of grit,...
