Re: Mattaes Phillipou
Some absolute couch fools on this forum. Anyone who watched the game live would know Luke McDonald, being the opponent focused tool that he is, was at Phillipou from the first minute. Pushed, poked, punched and scragged Mattaes all game. He didn’t give him an inch. Something Phillipou has never exp...

Re: David King on St Kilda 2024
I’m amazed that anyone can recall any commentator’s pre-season predictions about us from past years. But, if King has usually been negative about us, then that doesn’t make him biased. It makes him right. We’ve missed the finals 10 out of the last 12 seasons. We’ve usually been crap. One year (2014...

Re: One advantage of 7th
Imagine the caning you'd get if you went up to the supporter of another team who was in the eight for the whole season and never slipped out once and you told them that their appearance in the finals was "fraudulent" and that they didn't deserve to be there you'd rightly be laughed out of ...

I drove down to Geelong for that one on my learners but luckily Dad drove back so got to drink plenty of beers, one of my fave ever wins because I'd hardly ever seen us win at Kardy Park up until then, I remember Nicky hitting Plugger with one of the greatest passes I've ever seen, good times...

I must chuckle at the overreaction sometimes after a loss
We exist to play Port back into form. We are just a s**ty football club.

I wasn’t listening to Channel 7 commentary in the first half but I reckon the MRP will look at the Long tackle on Hill. Sorry Kosi was he concussed & didn't play any further part . I honestly don't remember. If so yes if no , no case to answer . Very similar to the Paddy incident no concussion ...

Re: Autopsy Thread: Saints v Freo
Big improvement in effort today but I still think Ratts has told the group we're not ready to compete for a flag as too many seem to be going through the motions. We have six players streaming forward into an open paddock and because someone isn't confident they hold the game up by walking back to ...

Thilthorpe took 1 game And he is 18 The biggest concern is his total lack of aggression and presence! Roo might have had some other talls, but make no mistake, he was the number 1 banana. He took 256 marks in 04 was AA centre half forward AFLPA MVP and B&F and he did this as a 21yo He was the b...

You also have to factor in that prior to this year’s smorgasbord Saints had played once at the Gabba in seven years and on quite a few of those seasons there was no Gold Coast game either...

I was in the car heading up to Northern Queensland.... had to do some serious fine tuning on the old radio dial in the car to find the match. Gees 97 was a great season except for the second half of the GF.... sigh.... The 97 point loss to Lions at Gabba in round 2 was not fun trust me, we were 1-4...

RIP Spud a true Sainter. I’ll always cherish the memories of him leading us into battle and playing every game as if his life depended on it, never giving an inch, but even more I’ll miss the character he’d cultivated in the media on shows like Bounce where he wasn’t afraid to be himself and wear hi...

This is such a bulls*** thread ... although - the umpires arguing over the worst decision was very funny! I thought - s*** they are getting a few frees sometime early in the last quarter - but checked the stats and we were 17 to 10 up!!!! They did the classic evener-uppers - and had zero impact on ...

Re: Rob Harvey in the running for head coach role
Here's a question. Does club ask applicants if they're happy to work with Sexton and the other assistants, or does he want to bring his own crew? The assistants all have contracts (i guess), so will the club pick 'the best available who is prepared to work under the current set-up'? Geez, that will...

I’m allowed an opinion, just so happens it’s opposite yours. I would 100% sacrifice a win or two for the long term benefit of the club, not just tread water for another 5 years I’d argue that your initial opinion that anyone in this thread is celebrating like we won the flag is objectively wrong. W...
