Re: Euro-Yroke
Perhaps tell a story in dance with commentary or text across our screens which highlight an advanced society that survived and thrived with 100's of clans and 100's of languages and skills and bush medicine...etc What if there was a demonstration of farming methods that date back 20,000 years. What...

Re: Euro-Yroke
Yep Really does a lot of good for our people Makes up for everything and fixes many of the issues in our communities Does every gesture have to benefit someone? Is the role of the AFL or the St Kilda Football Club to come up with a solution to fix issues in our communities? Everything is about slow...

Re: Euro-Yroke
As an Australian with aboriginal heritage A lot of this tokenism actually annoys me A lot White people wanting to make themselves feel good As an Australian with Indigenous heritage, I don't see this as tokenism. This is a nod to the oldest living culture on the planet. It does no harm at all and r...

Hard to fathom genuinely hating a player that represents our club.Brunswicksainter wrote: ↑Thu 09 May 2024 10:53amI have to admit I genuinely hated hill in his first few years;
Thinking he was not a good signing, or overpaying, or not being used correctly under Ratten are weird reasons to hate someone. Unless you know him personally...

Zac is done. He is what he is. Will not improve. Does a job but ultimately will not be part of our next premiership. Given our history, it's a fair assumption that nobody on our current list will part of our next premiership. What senior players bring, however, is leadership. Jones, Hill, a...

Re: win banked and move on
We also need to be seen as an attractive option for free agents on the move. Draft picks are not the only option. Are we aiming for top 4 in 2025? Are we flag contenders in 2026? I don't think we're either...so let the development occur organically with a core group of youth aided by the experience...

Re: win banked and move on
The game didn't bookend well for mine. They jumped us at the start, even though we did kick the last three of the quarter, and they went on a run of three unanswered goals in the last quarter before we got the last one. I wanted to see us mainain the pressure until the last siren, but we dropped off...

Lovett has never been convicted. Simply untrue! He is a repeat offender. Re: Tarryn Thomas, anyone?
I find it fascinating that the original question I asked - "why is the community exclusively focused on female victims of violence/homicide when across the community in total 70% of the victims of violence and homicide are male"? The focus is entirely on 30% of the victims and "we sh...

Re: Match Thread: Saints vs Roos
Wood and Hayes suprisingly good. Why is that surprising? First game after a long break, didn't expect much. Maybe that's true with Hayes, but not Wood. Hayes showed in that game why he is so important to our structure. He's a target up front, a relief ruckman, and a cool head. Immensely more valuab...

I did say that "I am not sure if this is increasing issue, or if it's being more widely acknoweldged as an issue because of the victims speaking out."
But good on you for researching!

Our two worst wins last season were WCE and North...Both by 8 points and both teams were barely VFL level when we played them.

The government has caused financial distress through its inept policies which is putting a lot of pressure on households and causing all sorts of problems for families like domestic violence. But the government wants us to point the finger at other men. I am not sure if this is increasing issue, or...

Re: Mattaes Phillipou
The Pou and Sheezel were drafted 7 picks apart. Sheezel has averaged almost 30 disposals per game since. The draft isn't linear. I am sure that if we were in North's shoes that we could play the kid on the half back flank where he would be unaccountable and not tagged because he's in a VFL standard...

More likely to fold or merge to keep the clubs at 18 unless the AFL can find a 20th team PDQ.

Things we must do v North
Other than win the game, what must we do this week?
1. Win all four quarters. We can't be sleeping at all. The longer the game goes, the more we should be in front.
2. Win the contested possessions and tackle count.
3. Win the clearances.
What else?

Re: Higgins Alir incident
The AFL have been pressured by medical bodies, legal bodies and the public generally about addressing concussion, and rightly so. It's more than likely that if a player is concussed due to a tackle of any sort from an opposition player, and fails concussion protocols, then it would be hard to talk ...

Any process where the same action can receive two vastly different penalties because the outcome is different- is obviously flawed! Re: AFL’s play thing
We are irrelevant, not because of the AFL, we are irrelevant because we are mediocre and other than a few spikes in performance here and there, have been mediocre or worse in our entire history. This is more accurate than we care to acknowledge. We've played (prior to this season) 125 seasons of VF...
