Johnathon Brown kicked Goal of the Week, if not year after the siren Absolutely - I can't remember which show discussed it on Sunday morning (offsiders?) but they were correct when they said that the speccy athletic "impossible" goal was now a weekly occurence when the skills of modern fo...

Because it was obviously an accidental goal perhaps?

That's how it appeared - unless Milney has perfected the reverse floater flat punt fader. I which case their may be a case to include it.

You misinterpret GT. My guess is that our win-loss and finals appearance record under Howard's reign is best of all the federal leaders we've had.

Wonder if "Chad's Lad" has been taken as a username?

And... I think it would take a huge win/lose deal to get us interested, he's a good player when on song but not a great fit for us.

Envisage this season? Maybe not. BUT... for starters, as a member since 1974 I expect; False hope. Real hope. Shattered dreams. Dreams coming true. False dawns. Premature celebration. Wild celebrations. Brave victories against the odds to show the rest of the comp what the shield on our guernsey mea...

In order? 1. Opportunity lost. Everything was falling our way in the other games. 2. I hate the swans. Really hate them. Combination of style (Meher Baba's post highlights many of my issues with the swans more articulately than I could), supporter group and simply being an AFL fan in Sydney. I suppo...

Rose coloured glasses firmly in place - the first half showed my why he was so highly valued in the draft and what he could be to our side. Explosive, game-breaking pace, courage and an ability to find space in a swans flood (pin pointed by a Dal special admittedly). Shocking, inexcusable kicking. B...

I can't remember a game where we were so slaughtered by the umpires, but at least 50% of it was that Sydney were too smart for the idiots in yellow. They've adopted the Adelaide tactic of throwing your head back every time you are tackled. They also verbal the umpires when there's a ball-up pointin...

Re: My Sydney sojourn

The gifted goals from minor infringements in packs and ruck duels as well as hasty holding the ball decisions was a tragedy in a close game and clearly influenced the result. Sydney crowd clearly got through toumps Whilst I'm quoting my child - who is now an absolutely 100% hooked sainter despite t...

Saints "coached by Grant Thomas"...

Whilst the outcome was a little grim that little cock-up by the ground announcer before the game brought a smile.

I remember the swans played their cruddy anthem after one of our wins in the late 90s.

We've probably all said enough about young Rocket and how things panned out - my folks knew his dad who died quite young, made a big difference to how things turned out IMO.
