even then 2 to 3 seasons, and he isn't in the best 22 at WCE, and he has a 'troubled' medical history... its not like we are planning for the long term  also most of our trades have been for players under 22, so in the past we've looked at kids with potential to return long term as opposed to...

Jiggster - how'd the young fella enjoy the outing? Could he be our good luck charm? Bring him on Friday if you can - it's bad luck to change a winning formula! Maybe see if you can get him to Goodison too, the Blues look like they could do with a splash of luck...couldn't believe we didn't get the c...

i thought we were against topping up?!!??!?!? Depends on the circumstance, Dan. An All-Australian with something to prove who's wages will be low and available for a lowly pick, well below his potential value? Has pace, great disposal and would walk into our first 22? Gimme gimme gimme that thing. ...

Re: Apologies to Xavier and Fraser????

Throw in Blake also... he consistently plays a good game for us hard tackling and tagging yet gets no support or praise. For every supporter we have who questions why Blake rolls over in tough games, we've got 20 who pump him up for playing a reasonable game. So I don't think your concerns are all ...

Was in reference to your comment last week about cheap flights from Melb. to Sydney that some people were offended by. Was just a good comeback by Solar, don't think he was really concerned whether you were there or not, it was just an opportunity for some light comedy. :D Right... So what was the ...

Our third round pick, definitely. Maybe a late 2nd if we could get our hands on one.

I'd love to see him with us. He'd have a massive, massive point to prove in 2008 to show he's still got it.

Interesting to note as somebody puts the squeeze on them, they drop right off. Had that mark been rightly paid to Leigh Brown, it was a 50/50 ball game with 10 minutes to play. I'd be very, very surprised to see them make the GF and reckon they're a reasonable chance of going out in straight sets. T...

No St Kilda home game should ever draw under 30,000.

Especially when we're shooting for a spot in the eight.

We've got a great core support, but beyond that, there's a massive bandwagon following.

WCE's midfield kills ours any day of the week.

Our hope has to be to break even, and that we can do the Eagles in the KPP stakes.

If that means we need to tag, I say we tag as hard and as much as we can.

Whatever it takes. By any means necessary.

49% good for us, 51% bad for us...we're only in the hunt for eighth, realistically... And this keeps Brisbane in it, although they have a tough draw - that's the key thing. To be honest, their % was so much better than ours it was worth 2 points, so it shouldn't affect us too much, but still...not g...

But I'd call it a victory more for common sense and logic, rather than for RB and the board.

To be fair, he's not a ruckman's ********, it just helped that Gilmour is a midfielder playing in the ruck. Blake wasn't the worst today but I absolutely fear what will happen when he fronts up against a good team with a good ruckman in a pressure-cooker type atmosphere. Next week will be a better t...

Just needs to work on his execution. If he can, he looms as a massive asset for us over the next month and a half. Remember, he's already proven himself at this level - his second half of 2005 was excellent. Xavier was also terrific that year. I hope they both can build on today, they just add so mu...

Played some good games for us - he was a good signing for a swap of picks. Rarely lost a rucking contest, either. That final against PA - has any player had such an impressive no-posession game? 14 hit-outs in the last quarter - unreal. Dissapointed we let him go for nothing instead of organising a ...

I don't want us to be another Sydney, even if there's a flag in it. See, I agree with most things in this thread, but I'd flood 24/7 if it meant we could win a flag. Seriously, we shouldn't have sacked Thomas - it's clear it wasn't football related (watch RB's warriors jump all over that call). I t...

Reading through this thread again, I must say that I am disappointed that only I and a couple of other posters see any sort of a future at the club for Vossy, even as a backup player. He's only 29 FFS, which makes him the same age as, or younger than, the likes of Kirk, Hall, O'Loughlin, Milburn, B...

Well I suppose so, I'd say he would be.

But more than that, I'd like to see St Kilda fielding a stand-alone VFL team in 2008.

Especially if we are fair dinkum about developing our next generation.

I'd definitely trade Sam Fisher if the price was right.

However, the deal would have to be heavily skewed in our favour.

Something like Reilly + 1st round pick for S Fisher + 3rd round pick...

Never say never.

Great post marto, but I believe we will see none of those players delisted or traded - unless an overly generous deal comes along.

They need huge pre-seasons, all of them, in 2008.

Besides Armitage, it could be make or break for all of them.
