Re: Why don't we get many Rising Star Nominations?

Re: Why don't we get many Rising Star Nominations?
Lonie got nominated yeah? Think Hugh and Paddy will get nominated next yr. Sinclair too you'd think as he's amazing. Sinclair won't be eligible, he's played more than 10 games which is the cutoff. The only ones currently on the list who could get nominations next year are: Goddard McCartin McKenzie...

Good player, different to some of the others we have. Definitely not our first pick, maybe our second, 25-30 would be about market.

O&M was always pretty strong. But it's at least a level or two below VFL, he probably needs to kick goals there first. Not many 25 year olds are drafted straight from country leagues.

Re: That brand of utter garbage football..
A lot of the youngsters will come of age next year and really blossom. "A lot"? Will they? I hope so but is that really likely? Here's a look at the sub-70 game players in groups: Could Approach A-Grade in 2016 Billings (25 games, 20 yo): Looked really good before injury, should definitel...

Re: That brand of utter garbage football..
Should not be tolerated next year. The saints were an embarassment today all over. Yes I am tolerating it this year, no goals in a half of football? At our home ground? That is s***. Not going to pick on anyone, the unit ...the team as a whole was total rubbish. Now, this list is capable of perform...

Re: AFL's Gifts to Sydney when's it our turn?
Dan Hannebery was pretty good today. The Swans took him with pick 30 in 2008. That year we took Tom Lynch with pick 13. He's playing pretty well at the moment too, but not for us. Josh Kennedy was also pretty good. The Swans traded for him in 2009. Kennedy + Ben McGlynn cost them pick 39 (Sam Grimle...

How's Newnesy Going?
Let me start this by saying I really like Jack Newnes, he has good endeavour and workrate. Would love to see him play 200 games. But how's he actually going? This was supposed to be his breakout year but it hasn't really happened. What does he actually do well? Averaging 20 touches for the second ye...

Re: VFL Rd 20 Sandringham Vs Casey -Live Stream
Any reports on Markworth? Got near it a bit but wasn't really his sort of day, given the wet conditions. Didn't particularly show off his pace, had more hard ball gets than running bounces. Was in the game most of the time but didn't get a huge amount of the footy or have a huge amount of influence...

First Sandy game I've seen in a while. CJ literally doesn't stop getting it at VFL level. ... and just getting destroyed by CJ's workrate. Re: VFL Rd 20 Sandringham Vs Casey -Live Stream
well, the next few weeks of football could be interesting for Siposs, particularly if this form continues I don't think he was that good. Really good in the second quarter but in and out for the rest of the day. That said, I'd probably keep him ahead of Saunders. Or even Markworth at this point, he...

Re: VFL Rd 20 Sandringham Vs Casey -Live Stream
Solid victory for Sandy, 51 point win on a pretty messy day. Best for mine were CJ and Mitch Brown. Saunders lively across half-forward, Saad and TDL both took their chances and put on good forward pressure. Myke Cook and Siposs pretty good through the middle. But the opposition was pretty poor real...

Four small forwards for Sandy today, pretty good selection in the wet. Saad 4, TDL 3, Zijai 1, none for Ong. Saunders playing down there as well. Forward pressure really good.

Mitch Brown unstoppable at this level. Has he even got an opponent? Has had about 10 intercept marks. Could do worse than have him playing in our defence at AFL level next year.

First Sandy game I've seen in a while. CJ literally doesn't stop getting it at VFL level. He'll have 35 at three quarter time, a big last quarter and he could have 50 today. Rohan Bail trying to do a job on him and just getting destroyed by CJ's workrate.

Saad two this quarter, both from the goal square. I reckon he's kicked more goals from inside 5 metres than any other player ever. Sippa five or six touches in the middle this quarter, two or three clearances. Looking very good at this level. Lewie Pierce looking pretty solid against Jamar, I wouldn...
