Re: Bakes!

He is great and nullifying when required but also uses the ball very well most of the time. Yep, love him. I haven't got the stats at hand, but I'm pretty sure he had the best disposal efficiency in the team from 04-07. He made some uncharacteristic errors against Adelaide (but wasn't on his Pat Ma...

X Clarke has to come back in, he's performing in the twos, and he's the king of the pressure game that we're playing at the moment. IN: X Clarke OUT: Gwilt Gwilt's role was very hard to work out on the telly, but he didn't show much, again. He's had a total of 24 touches, 5 marks, 4 tackles, 2 insid...

There's a fine line between barometer and front-runnner, and Dal is certainly one that falls into this category. Milne is another. um, technically a barometer measures atmospheric pressure and doesn't cause it. so these players you mention would be exactly the definition of a barometer. when the te...

Geary has the tank that is needed in modern footy and he has the grunt and tackling ability that we lack as a team. He has good enough skills he just hasn't been executing them in match situations, whether that be because of the pace of AFL or just lack of confidence I don't know. decision making s...

IMO the key match ups should be - Baker/ McQualter v McLeod (tag) Hayes v Thompson Dal Santo v Knights Goddard v Vince Joey v Edwards (run with) Roo v Rutten Kosi v Bock How about: Jones v McLeod - he's got the leg speed and can hurt him on the scoresheet. Baker v Goodwin McQualter v Thompson - sto...

Here's a transcript: Interviewer : Andy, it must be good to start the round of practice matches with a win over the reining premiers. What were McVeigh's stats after quarter time? did cj only get him from the second quarter? according to the age and champion data: McVeigh: 7, 3, 3, 3 = 16 disposals so if that's the case then you've got a point, kept him to nine touches in three quarters of footy. once again, i'd keep him in the t...

was also very strong over the ball when the game was going against us. BJ turned it over more then CJ from where I sat. Changes Going Into Round 2

A win is a win. Built in the midfield and defence - the forward line wasn't amazing. Next week against the Crows the midfield will again be key. Let's hope they're out of energy already - sounds like a draining game in the sun against the Pies. Out: R Clarke (hamstring) J Gwilt (not up to it) In: C ...

Why?
probably because it suggests that all arabic words sound the same and are only spoken by terrorists; which is doubly offensive because it conflates arabs and muslims.

laziness/incompetence.

there's no logical reason to withold this information - opposition scouts attend training so they know who's not coming up. supporters wouldn't mind knowing, though.

That's a pretty crappy list of numbers IMO. There's absolutely no reason to leave 4 and 9 blank. Why not give 9 to Lynch? McEvoy got 5. I understand that established players might want to stay with their number, but why not move Jones to 4, for instance? Or Eddy? Or give it to Ray? It's just a numbe...

I think you'll find that a player placed on the long term injury list must stay on it for at least 8 weeks. At the end of that time if they are fit to play the rookie must go back to the rookie list unless someone else is injured in the meantime (or a player retires). In fact this year there's a fr...
