Remember, the AFL now claim the hit on Kosi would be reportable under their new interpretation. I don't see how Whelan's is any different than that. I think they are different issues, but I disagree on which of the two was reportable. Obviously, I think Whelan's was OK. In the case of Giansiracusa'...

What can I say Joffa? Life ain't fair. Adults know this to be true. I'm not a fan of throwing good money after bad, and I believe that would be the case if we took Baker's case to the courts. I'd rather that money was spent on developing players. I don't see that as kowtowing to the evil bastards ru...

If we can't beat Richmond we don't deserve to play finals, regardless of whether Collingwood beat Adelaide or not. Sure, they played well against Essendon, but really their best is nowhere near as good as our best, and we should win comfortably. If we don't, that's an indictment of our players and c...

Joffa, the fact that Baker was royally shafted doesn't make Whelan's hit on Ball any less legal. My take? The difference between them is the distance off the ball. Baker's was clearly not in play, Whelan's was. Other than that who can say what part of Baker hit what part of Farmer? I certainly can't...

Whelan's shepherd was within 5 metres of the pill; Ball was chasing the Melbourne player, therefore a legitimate target for a shepherd. The head clash was accidental; Whelan hit him in the body with his arms tucked in; it was a fair bump with unfortunate side effects of the head clash. Who knows wha...

I think you need both. Footskills were however the main factor in our loss to the Eagles.....and better (not perfect) execution would have seen us win. In the Eagles game we did many things well....but this aspect let us down. Yep, spot on. We didn't look slow against the Eagles (except Cousins ove...

It's amazing just how quick you look as a team when you can win the pill and dispose of it accurately. The ball travels much quicker than a running player ... skill is more important than just raw speed IMO. Leg speed is great, and I also wish we had more of it (and that RL can recruit some into the...

Re: List this, list that....
The fact is, as someone stated, we have been in a winnable position in the just about every game! Very, very winnable positions too. Against West Coast twice, Sydney, Adelaide, Collingwood, Hawthorn and North . Rodger, I agree with your basic point (to a point ...) but you can't truly say we threw ...

If there was any reasonable prospect of overturning the decision by taking it to the courts I'd be in it, but IMO there isn't, and doing so would become a distraction we don't need at this stage of the season. Really, it's situation normal; we got shafted by the AFL; what's new in that? But i...

Too bad they didn't do anything when 1) Lenny was thrown into a fence and broke his arm 2) Riewoldt was throat punched 3) Riewoldt was bumped twice on his broken collarbone 4)Kosi got his skull fractured 5) Luke Ball got his face smashed in but wait...... they are Saints players so who cares????? 1...

Politically, the AFL have to be seen to do something about a player removed form the game concussed and bleeding. So they have; hence Bake's charge. It still remains to be seen if he's actually transgressed or not; that's what the tribunal hearing is for. Rather than pre-empt it let's see what happe...

I would love to see geelong win the flag. It would be fantastic to see oen of the clubs such as melbourne, geelong, Western Bulldogs and of course more so St kilda who haven't won a flag in 40 years. Yep. And they are playing by far the best brand of footy to watch; would be deserved premiers IMO. ...

STOP DREAMING EVERYONE - take off your rose-colored glasses - umpires had no effect on the shyte we dished up tonight. the best thing an umpire could have done would have been fall across Clarke's knee... alas.... And on that note, is there any chance you could cut your own throat and die soon? Fai...
